This is an exceptional property! THE place to stay especially for birdwatchers with birds easily seen from a three way viewing area above the restaurant as well as outside the rooms and gardens. The manager makes the place, always smiling and attentive to every detail making sure everyone’s stay is the best. You can walk to the world heritage site park and the birding jeep tours pick you up at the gate with your packed breakfast. Meals were excellent and the quality well known to others with people seeking out their restaurant for the great the great food. I highly recommend it. I stayed 6 nights and would recommend 3 or 4 to enjoy the area.

Attractive and well maintained compound. Lots of birds around as it is located just next to Singharaja National Park.

Highly overpriced accommodation. The room was very small and had very minimal and basic furniture . The shower curtain was old and full of black mould at the bottom.

Room 1 to 11 don’t have good views.

This was our second stay here which was 7 years ago. The property has much improved and is far better than it used to be. We only stayed as it is close to the entrance for the rainforest walk but we were pleased we chose here again due to the improvements and the staff were far more friendly than they were last time. Breakfast was nice but basic, we didn't have the evening meal. I certainly think it deserves more than a 6 score as shown on booking.com so I have given an 8. It is expensive but there isn't much choice at this entrance to the rainforest. We have visited from both entrances and we consider this to be the best and quietest.

No Internet other than when you are standing in reception...but then it is in the jungle!

Fine for visiting Sinharaja, good breakfast and dinner can be had with a cold beer.

Dated rooms but same all over Sri Lanka.

Close to the park, lovely garden, nice veranda to sit outside, friendly staff.

Some of the staff kept hovering over us and distracting our daughter from eating. Shower temperature could only be set to piping hot or icily cold, getting a normal temperature was Impossible.
