Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Bloomington

We enjoyed our stay at Fairfield. Came to take our son to college. Teresa, at the breakfast area was really helpful and attended our needs w/o having to ask.

In for one night to move son into school. As other reviewers have mentioned, the front desk staff is welcoming and very friendly. However, the hotel is in serious need of updating - one of the more dated Fairfield Inns I have stayed in. Also note there are still "smoking" rooms at this hotel or former smoking rooms. We were placed in one and the smell of smoke was overwhelming. We called the front desk and they were fortunately able to move us - but if you are sensitive to smoke or mildew you may want to consider someplace else to stay.

I live in Bloomington. The power was out in my neighborhood. Because it was 85 degrees in my house and I have breathing issues, I stayed at Fairfield because it had functioning electricity.
