Wingate by Wyndham Dayton North

I went to sleep and ants were crawling on me and they were on the counter. I couldn’t use the other bed because there were ants on that bed too. I couldn’t sleep and it took hours for me to get the ants out of my hair.

Horrible hotel. Bunch of scammers. PLEASE don’t take your family here. The place is old, dirty and smells bad. Seems very unsafe and clear that they have people living on their grounds. I checked in with a reservation of 4 people for 4 nights. They only had two (small) towels on the bathroom one of which was dirty, the other was clearly not cleaned and has a cup mark on it. I went down to the front desk to ask for four sets of bath towels for my four night stay. The gentleman and woman gave each other an awkward look as if I were trying to steal their towels and told me that they don’t have any towels that the laundry is down and I would have to come back in the morning to get towels. That’s unacceptable as I just got off of a 10 Hour Rd. trip with myself, my two daughters and my wife. We just wanted to shower and go to bed. I’m glad they didn’t give me towels and forced me to leave. The hotel was dirty and had MOLD in the bathroom. I checked out within 30 minutes after I called American Express travel to book me another room elsewhere. This happened on April 2 of this year. We are now just over a month and the hotel keeps on hanging up on American Express when they’re calling them to try to get me my money back. I emailed and spoke with Corporate, they are telling me that there’s nothing they can do and I would have to contact my credit card company. I honestly feel like this location is ran by a bunch of scammers and I’m not sure why the corporation is covering for them. This is wrong. I can’t pay for a four night stay when I had to check out in 30 minutes.

Stayed at this location while our apartment is being renovated. And we the wife and I enjoyed our time together.

No trash receptacles at ground level, had to take dog bag up to 3rd floor trash can. Limited breakfast when we were there at 7 am.

Dirty run down hotel. Hairs in the shower and sink. Drain partially clogged with a mass of hair. Towel bar had been pulled off the wall. Holes in one pillow case. Extremely noisy room with a smoking area outside even though it was the third floor. Body wash container empty with the pump broken right off. Shampoo and conditioner bottles had product running down the side of them when we arrived. Just a poorly kept property

The toilets was not flushing in two rooms..

Staff were nice, hallways tended to be dirty and stuffy. Rooms were sized well and had good accommodations

As always we stay with Wyndham hotels , this hotel did not disappoint. Room was amazing and clean, service as always was second to none. Where the hotel is situated is great very quiet. Front desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly and once again the breakfast service was awesome.

We left the premises and stayed in a cleaner environment. Worst stay ever!

We had the best 4 days here at wingate . The staff were amazing especially the hotel manager. They went above and beyond to help us with anything. The room was wonderful with everything we needed with a lovely view of the street The breakfast was excellent and also the free home made cookies and hot chocolate were succulent after a busy morning exploring. We would love to stay here again when we can.
