Central Stamford Townhouse With Parking

Perfect location and very well heated.

The furniture in the front room was extremely uncomfortable. The bed mattresses were extremely soft and very uncomfortable. The bed sheets in the main bedroom were torn and the bathrooms could have been cleaner.

Communication with the host was fast and efficient . We were let in early as our train was early , we could leave our suitcases in the hallon checkout as our train was late.

If I have to say something , Linings in curtains would be better blackout but having no linings did not spoil anything at all

Warm with good bedrooms and bathrooms. Good showers, dishwasher and toaster.

Only 3 of 4 gas rings worked. No Pyrex jugs/bowls/casseroles to use in microwave. Main room a bit dark. Sofa bed not that comfortable as a sofa.

Plenty of room for the family, and a short walk from Stamford town centre. Really great communication with the host, both before and during the stay.

It is a spotlessly clean, well appointed house- especially the kitchen. And a TV in each room! Wonderful with the British F1 GP & Wimbledon on at the same time!! It is an ideal base for exploring Stamford & surrounding area. Parking space was an asset - good to know there was always a place to park on returning home. Being in our eighties we did use one car daily. No problems parking in Stamford - quite cheap in the daytime & free at night. Waitrose being close by was useful.

It would be perfect to have a chair in each bedroom & a small (at least) chest of drawers in the ground floor bedroom. The parking space for 2 cars was rather tight -- and our cars were small. We had to stop partly into the space for passengers to alight easily. There was never a place to park in the road. A warning would have been useful of the extremely large 'puddle' which forms in the road at the edge of the parking area when there is heavy rain. Two of us found ourselves ankle deep in it on returning from dinner in the dark.

Excellent location for the town and reaching the A1. Fully equipped. Good parking space

Whilst house generally clean bathrooms were not cleaned thoroughly. Dirt ingrained round taps, bottom of shower screens and on shower heads especially in downstairs bathroom was quite off putting. Very busy road next to property made using outside space unpleasant.

Everything about the property was spot on. 10 minute walk into the town. No complaints at all from me.
