Lauerman House Inn

Would definitely recommend, great atmosphere.

The building was beautiful. It was a delight to be able to spend time in and wander about the living room, parlor, dining room, formal entry and piano room. The stairway was lovely. Downtown was just 2 blocks away and a block away from a delightful walk around an island park.

The breakfast was minimal. It was too fancy for my liking and too sweet. I would have preferred a more traditional breakfast, keeping in time with the age of the building. The bedroom decor did not match the opulence of the rest of the house.

The Inn is very eclectic and user-friendly. The breakfast was very tasty and the Blue Room martini bar is swanky and fun!

Location was very good. Close to the state line. Great parking and walnuts to boot! Lovely staff and the B&B was adorned beautifully. Our room was comfortable. I appreciated the Air Conditioning very much.

The whole "3AM Train" thing was a little hard. Not as bad as the 6AM and the 10pm Train but slightly alarming, nevertheless. The bed was a little too hard for me. My wife slept like a rock, but I struggled (see notes about train).

Love old homes with all the wood and elegance! Very clean and tastefully decorated. We didn’t know where our room was located. Helpful to put room number on envelope.

Lovely historic home with friendly, interesting innkeeper. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast was excellent!!! I enjoy sketching and this area had many sources of interest to us.

We stayed in the "pink" room, and the Blue Room Lounge was just below. The music wasn't terrible, but it went later into the night and we would ask for a different room next time.

Lovely home, delicious breakfast, i
