Hilton Birmingham Downtown at UAB

Had a great stay! The hotel was very clean and well-maintained. The on-site restaurant and bar were awesome, with great food, drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere. The convenience of having everything right there made our stay even better. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Several positives! Excellent, helpful and professional staff at the front desk at this hotel. Parking was easy, in a lot next door, and excellent location if your goal is to be close to UAB. Starbucks in the lobby for your morning coffee is always so appreciated. Beds were comfortable. Things I didn’t like - Several guests (8 rooms total) staying on the floor where I was, left their fast food, take out dinner/trash outside of their rooms instead of finding a trash can to dispose of the trash. These discards stayed outside of rooms overnight and created unpleasant odors and didn’t exactly create a clean and tidy vibe. Trash was also overflowing out front when I entered the lobby. I was overall disappointed in the cleanliness of the hotel - the bathrooms, both in the lobby and in my room were not as clean as I expected. Showers, toilets, sinks, etc. did not feel sanitized or clean. My room also had a sour smell almost like someone had spilled beer or another beverage on the carpet. I would not choose to stay at this hotel again due to the cleanliness issues.
