same ham rolls every day became very boring, no change at all, all other breakfast food was good

2 out of the 6 dining chairs were broken. the only 2 "arm chairs" would have a job to fit a 6 year old. no other seating as the sofa bed kept collapsing and when put into the bed position was just 30cm off the floor. front door key doesn't fit properly so took ages to get into the lock every time...no outside light to assist. tv was really small i would replace the bathroom cupboard with one half the width to give more space when on the toilet

The location is very central, in the heart of the town, albeit right next to a very loud bar and several restaurants that remain noisy until quite late. The view is nice, once the windows were cleaned, and the living area spacious. The backed breakfast offered a good variety and was delivered promptly and quietly outside the door.

The apartment was not cleaned, and my companion for the first night was a reasonably-sized cockroach, which I was worried would get into my luggage because there were no available wardrobes or drawers for clothes (all were locked for owners, full of beach equipment for holidaymakers or with extra bedding). I called management and they sent out a cleaning team the next day, which admitted the apartment had not been cleaned (the amount of dust was weeks or months old, as pwr the photo) but managed to kill the cockroach (picture attached). The maintenance man said they were still recovering from summer. I said they should have taken the time to ready the apartment rather than trying to rent it dirty and with maintenance issues. The management company agreed to reimburse the cost of the first night but stopped responding to both myself and Booking. Booking stated there was nothing else they could do and gave me a token credit. Laughable treatment all round The check in process reminded me of the 1980s. Had to drive to Lagos to fetch a key, this in a property where a lock box could easily be installed, and where the key was left after departure, in the apartment. Overall, one of the most disappointing stays via Booking in a long time, and totally out of keeping with the improved quality we have seen in Portiguese accommodation in recent years. This was a lazy owner, with a management company that did not show due care, charging exorbitant prices for an apartment that was not in a state to rent. Even when cleaned, improvements will be required. Booking said there was nothing they could do as the owner/management company was not responding, and I should leave a review. Clearly no interest in enforcing standards. So a review it is...

Great location and view, but proximity to bars made it noisy at night.

Die Wohnung hat uns sehr gut gefallen, sie ist groß und sauber und der Blick vom Balkon ist ein Traum. Als kleines Manko würde ich die sehr laute Bar unterm Schlafzimmerfenster bezeichnen, hat und nicht sonderlich gestört, mit Kindern aber sicher nervig. In laufentfernung ist alles was man braucht erreichbar. Also fast perfekt. Nicht so schön war, dass wir auf Rückfragen vom Betreiber keine Antwort bekommen haben. Wenn irgendetwas gar nicht gepasst hätte, wäre das ein großes Problem. Außerdem wäre es schön gewesen, eine Grundausstattung (Klopapier- mehr als eine Rolle) und Strandtücher zu bekommen. Alles in allem aber ein sehr schöner Ort, um ein paar wundervolle Tage in Luz zu verbringen.
