Ugo Bassi Apartments

We took the lift to our 3rd floor apartment which has a secure door. There was a large modern kitchen/dining area with TV (no English speaking channels). A washing machine, iron and small ironing board were in the hall cupboard. The bathroom was a generous size with shower, bidet, toilet and basin, There was a large bedroom with 2 'deep' built-in wardrobes - big enough to put your suitcase inside. Modern light fittings and plenty of hanging space and coat hangers. There were plenty of restaurants and wine shops nearby and a supermarket next door. We went to La Bottega di via Monteegrappa and the charcuterie plate was excellent. A gelati bar with a huge range of flavours was close by. It is quite a walk from the train station but the buses were frequent or you could get a taxi.

There was no toaster but you could use the microwave. There was a bread knife but no cutting board. No cleaning equipment for dishes other than the dishwasher. There were translucent curtains in the bedroom but no blockout curtains so we woke early.

Die Lage ist perfekt - ein paar Schritte und man ist mitten in Bologna (Piazza Maggiore oder Via Indepedenzia). Da wir mit der Bahn angekommen sind, kein Problem zu Fuß das Appartment zu erreichen (ca. 15-20 Min). Für den Check-In haben wir alle Instruktionen im Voraus erhalten und konnten ohne Probleme das Appartment beziehen. Das Appartment ist renoviert, sehr ruhig und hat alles, was für einen Städteurlaub gebraucht wird. Das Bad sehr sauber, bzw. das ganze Appartment ist sehr sauber. Da die Sonne die Wohnung nicht aufheizt, perfekt im Sommer, sind aber für Frühling und Herbst wärmere Decken im Schrank. Frieren muss hier keiner. Für den ersten Tag war Wasser im Kühlschrank und Cafe-Kps. für die Maschine vorhanden. Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich ein Coop, in dem kann man alles kaufen. Er hat täglich bis 20 Uhr geöffnet. und um die Ecke befindet sich der Mercado delle Erbe, ein Markt mit frischem Gemüse, Fleisch, Fisch und Käse. Das Haus ist sehr ruhig, da konnte man gut schlafen. Bologna ist toll, für 2 Tage zu schade, wir waren 5 Tage und haben jede Menge gesehen. Gut gegessen, tolle Lokale und Bars gesehen und erlebt und vor allem sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Menschen getroffen. Vielen Dank für die besonders schönen Eindrücke!!!

Leider wird morgens gegen 7 Uhr der Coop beliefert, da hört man die Rollen der Wagen laufen. Im Bad wären vielleicht ein paar zusätzliche Haken ganz gut.
