The Premier Mill Hotel

Doesn't have a very large fridge in the room, which isn't very helpful when spending multiple days on the road, and you have food and drink items.

No parking The " fridge " as advertised was not a fridge but a closet big enough for one bottle of water In there room there was a single chair but more than enough room for a second chair and a small table TV did not work. Asked staff to come and helped. She tried but was three weeks into the job and her supervisor did not respond to her call for help The downstairs bar needed music. There was only one white wine available by the glass the rest was bottle only at twice the price at bottle shop It was 4 degrees overnight but the beautiful fire in foyer was not lit

I've known this Hotel from Architecture Award, so the design was a highlight for me to look forward. My friends who never know about this place has thought it was amazing to see such standards hotel in a town like Katanning. They were impressed and said will come back again with their families! We had to add an extra bed and that was an easy process and the room service attendants were very helpful.

The water dispenser in the valet was not working at the time for both levels, so we had to get hot water from the Dome Cafe at ground floor.

I had read about this amazing reno of an old flour mill and had put it on the bucket list . A big birthday celebration was the perfect excuse. I wanted somewhere to have a really nice dinner in a private area so we could play our music and tell some stories . The staff at Premier Mill could not have been more helpful and certainly went the extra mile . From check in to check out and all the different staff we encountered in all areas of the hotel . They obviously love their jobs and take a lot of pride in their work . The friendly but professional vibe they have created is perfect .The food was excellent and they even arranged for a local cake making expert to create the perfect birthday cake . The accommodation was such a different experience and certainly not your stock standard boring hotel room . The rooms are all different and incorporated the equipment from the old flour mill. Almost perfect except for the lack of hanging space and the Clayton’s fridge but that only brought the rating down to 9.5/10 . Dôme now own the hotel and so there is access to great food and coffee and there is a super atmospheric bar in the basement with unbelievably well priced wine even from the top shelf . Up for a road trip ? Do yourself a favour and stay at The Premier Mill Hotel .

Th room was beautifully decorated. Also, the lux bathroom products were a real treat. Great central location

The bed and pillows were so comfortable and the room nice and quiet even though I was near the lift. The quality of the finish to the furnishings and rooms, bathrooms was great

The little fridge in the room was useless, it could only hold one bottle of water. Yes there was a fridge in the valet room but that means you have to walk out of your room to go get things from it. The bathroom bench was behind the low sink and was therefore a fair distance to reach to get things out of your toiletry bag etc - not ideal and the toilet roll holder was on the wall behind the toilet so you need to reach behind. The sound button on the tv remote was not working however a call to Guest Services, where you need to leave a message as there is no one manning the front desk, they come from Dome, was replaced within 5 minutes which was good. Trying to get into the reception area was difficult whilst trying to carry bags as the door wouldn't open, possibly the lock was half on? So I had to walk through the cafe to try and find a way in even though I had confirmed my time of arrival.
