Management tried to make the best of an old premises. Everything was pretty old looking…..but clean

I made a last-minute booking due to a family gathering and wasn’t expecting much—but this stay still managed to surprise me, and not in a good way. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt off. Security procedures were unusual, and several lingering guests seemed like they had nowhere else to go, creating an uncomfortable vibe. The room had a musty smell, and the towels were oddly labeled “NYU Hospital,” which was both confusing and concerning. It was just for one night, so I tried to make the best of it, but for the price I paid, I expected at least a basic, clean, and neutral experience. Overall, it was strange and underwhelming—I was genuinely shocked by the condition and feel of the place.

The TV size was horrible - the smallest I've ever seen in a hotel/motel.

The room was spacious. There is a security guard and a room key is needed to acess the parking area with the car. The room was clean. The staff were friendly and professional. The bed was comfortable and clean. There was plenty of storage for clothes. The bathroom was vintage and I appreciated how neat the old school tiles were and it was clean. They provided a non-slip mat for the tub. The breakfast was continental. Overall I was happy about the accommodations for a great price in a convenient location.

It was quiet and we slept well each night. They upgraded the rooms and it was a pleasant stay overall.

The bathroom sink leaked and got the floor wet. Had to keep wiping it up after we used the sink. We just dealt with it and did not report it to management. It was not terrible, just a nuisance.
