"Typically quirky rural German hostelry to spend a pleasant night or two away from the city."

Very pretty auberge-type accommodation in the heart of the German countryside and not too far off the main trans-Europe highway (route 30). Comfortable room with excellent en-suite. The accommodation does not offer evening meals but food can be ordered for delivery. Breakfast is good and relatively inexpensive.

Although I wasn't affected during my stay, I think rooms below the eaves may become excessively warm if the Velux window isn't shielded from the sun.

The garden is great! The hosts were very friendly. They have cats, horses and a dog. And: a trampoline for the kids!
