Star Walk Camp

I didn’t expect to feel this way about a stay in the desert. Everything — from the layout of the tents to the design of the bathroom — was intentionally crafted to belong to the land, not just in it. There’s a genius kind of simplicity in how things are built here. Nothing excessive, nothing artificial. And that’s the luxury. Luxury, I’ve learned, isn’t about glass walls and private jacuzzis in the desert. That’s just importing the city into a place that was never meant to be a city. True desert luxury is harmony — with the silence, the stars, the stories whispered by wind. The bathroom (yes, I’ll say it) was a highlight. Ingeniously built, fully functional, but utterly respectful of the environment. Every element served a purpose, and every detail reflected a vision: sustainability, beauty, and authenticity. Ahmed, the mind behind this place, isn’t just running a camp — he’s restoring an endangered idea. That the desert has its own rhythm and truth. That we don’t need to dominate nature to enjoy it. That sometimes, the most unforgettable experiences leave no trace but footprints. When I stayed here, I didn’t feel like a tourist. I felt like I was participating in something meaningful. A different kind of tourism — one that gives back instead of taking. I left with no guilt, no waste, only gratitude.

We had the most incredible time at StarCity Camp in Wadi Rum. I went with two friends, and from the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms. The hospitality of the people who run the camp was truly exceptional – they treated us like family. The entire experience was unforgettable: from the delicious food, to the breathtaking desert landscapes, and the amazing activities like jeep tours and stargazing. Everything was well organized, and you could feel how much they care about making your stay special. We had so much fun and felt truly connected with the local culture and nature. I wholeheartedly recommend StarCity Camp to anyone looking for a genuine and magical Wadi Rum experience. Thank you so much to everyone at the camp – we’ll never forget you!

Everything was perfect

We had a really good stay at this camp. They cooked veg food especially for us and it was delicious. We took the 4 hour jeep tour which was amazing. Deifallah took the time to explain and tell us about the history of the places. The tents are. Good and comfortable and just behind the camp, you can climb the rock and also see a beautiful sunrise.

wifi and line internet was not available. we was 4 people but only 3 towels were given for us.

my guide Deif Allah was really good and polite. I did a 4 hour jeeptour alone and je made sure i was comfortable the whole time. They answer fast via WhatsApp

The camp was an beautiful experience. We booked 50JD full day private jeep tour which included pickup from Wadi Rum Village. Deifullah picked us up and accompanied us throughout our tour. He was very kind and helpful while guiding the tour. Also he cooked us a lunch in the desert which was so good, once in a lifetime experience. We completed the tour with a beautiful sunset and wonderful Bedouin dinner. The rooms were worth it for a one night stay. There was no internet or network throughout however that is exactly how you experience the desert. Finally, we fell asleep watching the beautiful stars and stardust. It was surreal. I would very much recommend the camp and the experience.

This experience was amazing! Deifallah went above and beyond to make my sister and I comfortable throughout our stay. The jeep tours were really fun and we appreciated the history shared with us too. The tent we stayed in was comfortable and the food provided was great. I highly recommend this experience and would do it again! Travelling back to Amman was coordinated for us as well for a good price. I recommend Mohammad Odeh for that (+962 7 8888 3807) for the Petra/Wadi Rum/Amman transportation.

We had a great stay at Star City Camp! Deif Allah was an excellent host and everything was really well organised. We loved the sunset jeep ride and morning camel ride. We are vegetarian and we were very well catered for. The setting and stars after it gets dark are very special - would highly recommend!

Perfect camp in the desert with necessary amenities and amazing food. Really kind and respectful staff. The tour to Wadi Rum was absolutely fantastic and will remain one of my favorite adventures for the years to come.
