Cove Haven Resort

To sum up the resort part of my vacation... Awful. Just went this weekend so let me sum it up, The good, Customer service was very nice! , Comfortable bed, Clean hot shower, Quiet, Thats it... The Bad, Where to begin??? Room - Musty smelling room, moldy vents and floors, tiny fridge (even my local Motel 6 has a full size fridge), No microwave (more on that later) Pool had things floating in it, Jacuzzi spit out black stuff after the jets kicked in, mirrors fading and oxidizing, Speakers that they claim has surround sound on the ceilings didnt work, Food- breakfast was cheap and horrible like something you get from a "we provide free breakfast" Motel. For dinner my wife steak was burnt and the rest of the food over cooked. Oh and if you think even though its not a buffet at dinner and you pay for reservations that you can take a doggy bag.. think again. Yup you read that right. You PAY for your NON buffet dinner and order from a pathetically limited menu. And then when ready to leave you ask for a box for the extras they tell you resort policy no food leaves the dining room. You cant take your leftovers. Even after we paid ahead for the dinner and breakfast packages we stopped using them and left off site to eat. Experience- Even tho Guest Services was very very nice even the stuff they said they would get done for us got ignored and never done including asking for fresh towel swap out in the morning. Instead the fresh towels were dumped in a plastic bag outside in front of our door. No one even came in even AFTER we hung the "please service our room while we are gone" placard on the door. Wet used towels still on the bathroom floor. Finally after complaining at 9pm on our last night there they switched us to a new room. Same type of suite but it was cleaner. The deer - I like animals i really do. But what started out as cute got crazy. Sometimes up to 10 at a time show up around you begging for food till you feed them (pic included ) Overall - For being billed as a top notch romantic getaway it came off as cheap and old and campy. Old stucco and plaster on the walls. .Its 2026 people!! I give it a 1.5 out of 5 stars ..

I loved the deer n being able to feed them with the deer food we bought at the gift shop some even ate out of our hands it was awsome. The food was soo good the cheese cake with strawberries on point Def a 10/10 all the staff were so friendly n great.

The bed wasn't comfortable we kept sinking into the middle i think it's time for new mattresses and the bedding n towels smelled musty like the napkins at dinner had a nasty order bedding needs to be washed separately from kitchen napkins n maybe a different soap that kills bacteria.maybe a little more to do for the night life we went to spoon at 9 n they closed top by 10 wasn't much goin on maybe sugest a movie room or something

The location because we wanted to disconnect.

The outdated and musty facility. Not a good place to sleep in if you suffer from allergies.

The quietness for location. The multiple activities offered.

The pool in the room was peeling on the bottom, and a wad of hair was floating in the pool, there was broken tiles around the pool, and black mold on the vents above the pool. The water pressure in the shower was as if you were pouring a cup of water on your head. The carpeting to the pool was moldy. The bed could definitely be replaced. Looking at the mattress it was very stained.
