Thotalagala is nothing short of luxury. The staff brilliant and so attentive. Rooms are beautifully furnished and the food is exceptional

The service was one of the best we’ve ever experienced. Everyone was extremely attentive and took the utmost care of us. The food is another big topic: it was exceptionally good, so I would highly recommend having lunch and dinner, even when it’s not included in the fare. Lastly, the location and the view were simply stunning. From the hotel itself you can explore the tea plantations without any other tourists (unlike in other tourist hotspots). Moreover, some of the hotel employees may join you on hike and show you some nice trails.

Everything was perfect. This is the best hotel we have ever been to and I actually didn’t want to leave. We stayed for two nights in a Suite. The weather was really nice, the views were breathtaking. The hotel had the best staff I have ever met. It is a seven star hotel in my opinion. We had their lunch and dinner bott twice and the food was some of the best we’ve had. Lunch was $20/person and dinner was $25/person. Very good price, there was a LOT of food. Different menu every time and options! The pool was lovely also. There is a couple of nice sights you can also visit.

Just WOW

Thotalagala really is something special. From the magnificent location to the exceptional staff and attention for details, this is something to be experienced. We have visited a lot of places but this really stands out. Do not hesitate and book this wonderful boutique hotel, you won't regret.

Beautiful views, quiet environment, accommodating and attentive staff, impeccable garden and surroundings, lovely rooms with attention for even the smallest details, great food.

This was one of the most special parts of our holiday. The property is an old hunting lodge set at an altitude of around 1500m in a beautiful garden. The staff are all excellent and really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. There were so many little touches that really make you feel looked after. Will reccomend this place to anyone who wants to visit Sri Lanka. Genuine Hospitality at its finest. A****

I don’t usually write reviews, but Thotalagala has been such an amazing experience that I felt compelled to come and write a glowing review. Everything was spectacular, from the surroundings, to the rooms to the amazing service. It all exceeded our expectations and this will remain one of my favorite places ever.
