Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine

Great property, really a resort. We enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi, games, and the location is so convenient... especially to all the La Jolla has to offer. Can't wait to come back!

Food and services were kind of pricey.

Only disappointment was the in room movie service. Booked 2 movies and both cut out and could not be fixed by the in house engineers.

Large clean room

It's abruptly expensive. More than 300$ per night for a single room, and everything else costs additional (cloth cleaning, breakfast etc). The fitness center was free, but it was disappointing. Just a room packed with 5 treadmills and bikes with minimal gym equipment.

First time at this hotel and we will definitely return. Sean at check in was a great first impression of the level of service. He was so friendly and helpful. 10/10. We were exhausted from travel and he made us feel so welcome. Rooms were so clean and comfortable. Pool was relaxing. The hotel is close to everything we needed. We will definitely return!!! Thank you!!

From the moment I arrived at the Hyatt, Aventine, in La Jolla, CA, I was welcomed by the valet and the front desk staff. Everyone I encountered in person or spoke with on the phone were pleasant and kind. Shawn at the front desk was very nice and gave me great information about the hotel and its amenities. I liked the fact that the hotel was so close to the La Jolla Playhouse, located at the UCSD campus. It was a breeze to get to the playhouse and quickly back to the hotel. I was finally able to get to the pool for a short time and a young man opened the sun umbrella for me and was so nice. I was also asked if I wanted any food by a staff member, who was extremely personable as well. I think the management of the hotel is doing something right because I received superb customer service from staff in every department I interacted with including my housekeeper. The pool at the Hyatt Aventine is fabulous and had 2 dedicated lanes for swimming laps. I was able to swim a 1/4 mile without having to share my lane at 1 pm in the afternoon. It was a relaxing and wonderfully refreshing stay. I would love to return. On the morning of checkout, I walked up to the UTC Mall and was able to explore before the mall opened. It was nice to walk around before the throngs of shoppers arrived. I also patronized Einstein bagels located a few blocks from the hotel. It is an easy walk east to Einstein's bagels and the UTC Mall. There is a Whole Food Market, Trader Joe's and other restaurants if you walk west of the hotel. The location of the hotel is excellent and everything you need can be secured at the hotel or within a short walk.

This was the best hotel I have ever stayed in, the Drift restaurant was perfect, the best Salmon and rice 😋 I've had so far, the Breakfast at the Shor was awesome, my stay here was perfect, I traveled from Alabama to San Diego for my brother's wedding, and it was the perfect stay, I plan to visit again an this will be where I will be staying
