Lodge at The Old Barracks

All good , my husband and daughter had to leave very early in the morning so the staff accommodated them with some early breakfast thank you

Tout était parfait nous avons tout aimé. L’hébergement est très propre calme dans une jolie petite ville. À quelques kilomètres de Galway accès très facile pour le Connemara. Super petit déjeuner. Un bon menu le midi et bonne pizzeria. Les propriétaires et le personnel sont très très gentils et plein d’humour. Nous avons très apprécié notre séjour.

Nice contrast to the west coast villages with a sophisticated urban feel. Less touristy and more contact with the locals. Off road parking was a real plus. Food offer was great with breakfast in their separate restaurant which also offers early dinner and lunch. Athenry is an interesting town with medieval origins and the castle is well worth a visit.

Great location, just a quick walk from the train station. Room was clean and comfortable, shower was fantastic, and the restaurant was incredible! The staff were very kind and so helpful, I will definitely stay here again if I’m in the area

From check-in we were greated friendly and warmly. We were brought to our room and told bits about the restaurants and information about the room (specifically the heating which I appreciated!) There were sweet treats in the room and were delicious! The bed was comfy and clean. The whole room was impeccably clean! The shower had amazing pressure and was hot also! Breakfast was delicious! Unfortunately it was a short stay bit we will definitely be staying again for longer 😊
