Hotel Majestic

The tea selection was quite unexpectedly fine (given breakfast was rather poor). I very much liked that you could have a bottle of water any time (and in as many as you'd like). There was a selection of tea and boiled water all day. Very friendly staff.

Breakfast was at the lower spectrum of my expectations. No veggies, just meat, omelette, and milk with cereals. There was a bathtub (no shower, which I prefer). The light in the room was rather dim (which encourages more sleep than work, which should be considered a good thing, shouldn't it?) Speaking of working in a room, the table was not available, and it was simply not easy. I had a room with two beds (rather narrow), and would prefer a single one. I knew about this "inconvenience", so I knew what I'd be paying for upfront.

I liked the upgraded room. The first room that I got was way too in the corner and it was in a very bad shape. They should mark it as store toom, plus all the kitchen smell was going in that room. Upon frequented request, they changed the room for me. The new room was decent

Enjoyed it very much, everything was very clean.

TVs were a bit dated . Ended up using laptop to watch tv instead.

Charming hotel with lots of character, it being of Victorian style and the oldest hotel in San Francisco. Friendly staff. Good gym. Thought the complimentary breakfast was good—plenty of fruit and eggs available (which is what I ate), in addition to the carbs (e.g., make-your-own waffles) that other reviewers were complaining about.

Could use a little more light. The room was a little smaller than I expected based on the square footage on Booking (not sure if the square footage displayed was accurate), but hotels in San Francisco understandably run a little smaller due to real estate costs.
