DoubleTree by Hilton Little Rock

This hotel needs to be pushed all the way down. First time visiting Arkansas for Lads to Leaders, and this hotel was completely terrible, trash. First, I arrived only to find that my prepaid, reserved room had been given to someone else due to overbooking. No problem. I was then told they would upgrade me to the Presidential suite... THE PRESIDENTIAL SUITE... Pure trash. I usually do not leave negative reviews, but this room was horrible. If I had to rate it, it would definitely be a negative 1 star. There is a mildew smell from the dated carpet in the halls to the rooms. There appears to be black mold in the shower. The furniture is covered with dirty spots. There was no microwave in this “Presidential Suite”—apparently, you had to ask for one. The best part of this place was the view and the staff's courtesy. I would highly recommend staying at the Marriott!

The hotel was very nicely decorated. The staff was very friendly. We received welcome cookies that were very good, Our room was clean and was all we needed for a very short stay, We had to be at UAMS by 6:30 am, so no breakfast.

We had trouble getting hot water and the iron didn't work. The fact that we were told that we would be charged an extra $15 for parking under the hotel in its parking deck was disappointing.

It is next door to Robinson Center so very convenient

Our room 623 only had hot or very warm water, no cold water.

It was clean and close to everything.

The parking for bigger vehicle, had to park half mile away from hotel because I wasn't allowed to park up front in my lifted truck.

It was clean, well appointed, and comfortable.

We stayed there last month and had no hot water in the a.m. This time, we had no cold water. Staff will take it up with management when they come in.

I consider myself an unpretentious traveler and don't require luxury amenities. However, I believe this hotel could benefit from a renovation and updates. The lobby furniture appeared worn and outdated, and the carpets could use a thorough cleaning. The rooms had a somewhat dated feel reminiscent of the 1970s. While the view of the Arkansas River was pleasant, the spiderwebs covering the window slightly detracted from the experience. The pool area seemed to have been unused for some time; the furniture was rusted, and the overall ambiance was quite dark and somewhat lacking in freshness. Our family felt a bit uncomfortable upon arriving, especially in the underground parking area. The check-in staff was courteous and helpful. Nonetheless, after settling into the room, we decided to look for alternative accommodations.
