Parker Palm Springs

Wonderful stay, an oasis in Palm Springs. Extensive property to wander around in, find a quiet place to relax or gather. Perfect for families or groups of friends.

I had a terrible experience at the Parker while evacuating LA for the fires. This is absolutely not a 5 star hotel, neither the service nor the rooms. The manager was rude, short and cold. I had my terrified cat with me, I was told my room wasn’t ready. I asked if there was a place I could briefly have my cat use his portable litter box after the long drive, I was asked if I needed doggie bags. I told them no, it’s a cat. They then told me the cat can use the garden as a bathroom? I told them I can’t let my cat run wild it’s a cat. It made no sense. They were sure to shove a $200 per day pet agreement to me in the midst of this. There was zero empathy or problem solving. I ended up setting up with my cat in my car for two hours (with a soiled carrier). I was so overwhelmed I cried. This is not how 5 star hotels treat their guests. There should be kindness, and going above and beyond to find a solution. When I got to the room, there were so many stains on the carpet and peeling paint, the dust on the ledges and air vent was terrible. I couldn’t open the windows as there were no screens. My room was missing a chair by the table, bed comfort was that of a futon, and the sheets were so starchy and bleached. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. I left a day early. This room is worth $200 tops, not 800-1000 which is what they charged. The valet was unbelievably kind. I was embarrassed I cried I was but valet was empathic and accommodating. He gave me a spot to park and take care of my kitty.

The grounds are beautiful and the hotel is great for those visiting with dogs too, with two large fields to play in. Unfortunately the front desk was totally incompetent. They offered no accommodation for folks evacuating the LA fires. Additionally there was no notice about needing the physical card you’ve booked with online for the stay. Several other guests didn’t know this either and complained at the front desk. We eventually extended our stay after they let us know the room was available for two more nights but a separate reservation had to be made and they still came to the room asking if we were going to check out, after we had extended. Unfortunately for two of the days there was a large photo shoot for the hotel happening at the Gene Autry pool. They insisted it was still usable for guests but they were there all day for two days with tons of crew and lights, and it made the pool unavailable for guests who wanted to relax. After being assured we could be sent a link via email to pay our bill we were later informed at checkout that this is not possible… additionally after calling ahead of time to make sure there was a dog bed in the room, one was not provided even after asking several times during our stay with no explanation.

Tired, old, dirty, not family friendly motel. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. They try to nickle and dime you at every turn. The hotel is old and dirty. The staff is the least helpful ever. The valet that charges $53 a night didn’t even help load and unload our bags. It took room service 45 minutes to call us back to take our order. Not even to deliver the food, just to take an order! This hotel is trash to say the least.

This outrageously expensive. We were charged an extra $52 per day parking when we checked out. It’s a valet system and the poor guys are overwhelmed. We waited between 15 and 40 minutes for our car every time we left the property. They’re all overwhelmed. The staff in the cafe are so lovely but we had to wait 30 minutes for a breakfast table even though the cafe was half full because they were understaffed. It’s super noisy. We had the party goers coming in till 1:30am and the babies up at 5. It’s not a place to go and catch up on sleep.

I booked an anniversary getaway and the Parker was one of three places I was really mulling over to make the weekend special. Beautiful grounds on the property, picture worthy, eclectic aesthetic, some staff highlights, food was never disappointing. There were highs but a few opportunities worth mentioning— pricing and accommodation value and the level of service received was not consistent between outlets/departments. I do have to give the highest praise to the server, Vanessa, at Norma’s. Her warmth and attentiveness was genuine and set the bar high for our expectations. She was the only staff member to inquire if we were celebrating anything at any point during our stay and made a point to greet us anytime even if she wasn’t our server. She is a true gem. Actually, the majority of Norma’s staff created a consistently engaging experience that surpassed our anniversary dinner experience at Mister Parker’s (a let down in service but food is wonderful.) Maybe I’ll give the Parker another try but probably not my next stay or when celebrating a milestone.

The worst value I have ever experienced. We stayed one night, it was over $1,000, we were kept awake late my the neighboring room, the hotel has no sound insulation. When in the shower in the morning we could hear neighbors being intimate in the next room. The only serviceable amenity is the spa but it's only open 10-6 and is packed the whole time. They charge $45 for parking, the food prices are nuts, the massage prices range from $795-$6600, that is the range... gratuity is added to everything, $1.75 for a one minute phone call to a 310 area code. If you order room service, they charge a delivery fee, mandatory gratuity, and the items to begin with are insane, does $1000 lobster pasta sound good to you? I have stayed in many of the finest hotels in the world, this was the worst value I have ever experienced by miles.

Omar the director helped us so very much bracing the wildfires this pas weekend. made us feel so welcome at the last minute when every airbnb was booked. Very lovely stay and helped us tremendously is setting us up in a nice room.

Beds could be a little more comfortable.

Superb environment and wonderful hotel but our room’s toilet cistern was broken and it took 3 requests for to be repaired effectively. Front desk had to be reminded twice. Despite this comment we will definitely be back.

We liked the location the design the art the facilities and restaurant

First room with terrace opened ob the parking and in front of the room cleaning staff means so loud inside and outside. Nicely they changed us for a good room spacious we accepted without any view or light (windowd barred and blocked) but the worst is to come this room was stuck to the changing rooms of all the personal of the hotel so from 5:45am rill 2 am we hear bang in our room like a hammer knocking (it was just normal opening and closing of the room) the door is direct partnof the wall of our room it it makes sense
