Hampton Inn DuBois

Stayed one night on a business trip recently while passing through. Area has plenty of food options and lots of shopping areas. Seemed like a very safe area. Hotel was well lit and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself was very outdated and needed a refurb in the worst way. The tub in my room was cracked and most of the property was very aged. Rooms could’ve been cleaner, however could’ve been much worse. Probably will pass on this hotel next time. There are better options close by.

Receptionist was wonderful and helpful. All staff great!

Carpet in room was not that clean (stuff on carpet) and a bit dusty. Terrible shower rust.

check in was easy and quick as I had used the app. I was given the room I had requested. This hotel seemed to have a bit of age. The room was average sized and appeared clean. the bed was clean and comfortable. The fridge, microwave, and most importantly the TV worked fine. However, there were very few usable outlets for charging items near the bed. The room walls seemed to be somewhat thin in that I could hear people in the next room. the wifi seemed OK. The bathroom was OK sized, but the drain in the tub was very slow and I ended up standing in a few inches of water during my shower. There was no fan in the bathroom. There were plenty of towels. as in a lot of hotels now the business center is just a printer. the computer itself was broken and I was told it had been for some time. The hotel had an OK gym, but no free weights. They had a pool, but the hot tub was broken. It appeared as if it had been out of service for some time which made me upset because the hotel website shows it is open. perhaps a note could be placed that it is broken so I wouldn't be expecting a nice soak after hiking and driving all day. Upon further research it turns out it has been broken for YEARS! Take that amenity off the website if you are not going to provide it. breakfast was typical Hampton Inn- waffles, yogurt, eggs.

I had no hot water not even in the morning I had no key to open up my room.they said the key maker was down.i had to leave the door open to take out my dogs.thoose were the main inconveniences! 0

Because of the previous times I have stayed here, I always have a good breakfast to start my day. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize that they closed breakfast at 9:00 and not 10:00. When I got there most everything was cleaned up, but the staff asked me what I wanted and brought it out. I settled on cereal and orange juice since the toaster, oatmeal and hot food was already put away. I appreciate that they provided that so I didn’t have to go out for food.

I wish the desk chair raised and lowered more easily.

The breakfast was better than usually found in this situation. After I checked out, the staff found some medicine in the refrigerator in my room. They called me while I was on the road and arranged to Fed Ex it to me. As it turned out, the medicine was not mine. I very much appreciated their efforts.

Apparently there was someone else's medicine (presumably belonging to the prior guest) in my room's refrigerator.
