Dirty and rundown. The ladies at the desk were nice.

We arrived on a Thursday at 3 am and the check in was easy, we went to room and it was mostly clean but had a horrible musky or moldy smell. I had to go get fabrize and run the ac cold and constantly ti keep the smell away. The shower had other people's hair in it. Towels were very thin. The next day they came in to clean but did not make the bed or clean shower, only replaced towels and took trash out. On sat they never came in the room to clean, no trash taken out and no clean towels i called when we got back to our room and got told they were still working and they had a lot of rooms to clean. I specifically asked for the trash to be taken out and dirty towels replaced. No one came. On sunday before we left for the day i spoke to house keeper and asked for trash and dirty towels to be removed. They handed me clean towels. When we returned around 4 pm still no one had come to clean, take out trash or get dirty towels out. I called and they said they would send someone over. They came in and took trash and dirty towels but nothing else was cleaned. The people working the lobby were nice, the location was convenient but i will not stay again due to house keeping and smell.

No working ice machine on property. Was told it works sometimes by manager. No ashtrays for smoking room. Room was dusty and had gnats flying around. Was told there was nothing they could do. Ac worked great is about the only positive part of our stay.

The staff was super friendly. The properties location was very convenient. We stayed two nights. The first night the room we had there was cigarette burns in the comforter. The room smelled extremely musty. You can hear every step the upstairs guest makes, and apparently the group was insomniacs because when I say all night and into the morning they never stopped pacing back and forth. Then for the best part, we got in the shower and were getting leaked on from the bathroom above. The ceiling started bulging in from all the water. We showed the lady in the office and they offered us a different room for the second night. They swapped our room when it became available that evening. When I say totally different room and experience I mean it. Clean comfortable and this review would have been totally different if we had stayed in this room first. The owner needs to fix and update this property, and then I would say this is the go to place. The staff was very apologetic and nice though.

Stay started off kind of rough. Original room that was given to me reeked of cigarette smoke. It was supposedly a non-smoking room, I don’t necessarily know how this was missed by the cleaning service. However the customer service was great, the woman working at the front desk was able to find me a different room very quickly. Cleanliness was the other issue, the shower wasn’t exactly “clean” and had was appears to be mold in the tub sealant. Other issues: The key cards for the door would deactivate after a day, making a trip to the main office a daily occurrence. Not the biggest issue, but definitely an inconvenience. Unfortunately, while there was an event going on in Helen, I don’t think the conditions of the accommodations were worth the price per night.

I booked the hotel based on the pictures online. It didn't look like the pictures. The place is run down. I had to change rooms 3 times until I found one that was acceptable. The first room smelled of cigarettes, the next room wouldn't lock, and the third room smelled like a sewer, but it went away after running the water. All the rooms smelled musty, the shower was gross. The only good thing about this place was the location and the friendly staff, whom I had to talk to several times to address issues.

Very good experience. My only complaint is that there are no outlets by the bed and desk

Great for Holidays

We had a great time. Location was perfect, room was warm, had a good continental breakfast each morning. Coffee available anytime. The town was decorated all up for Christmas. It was cold outside. The desk clerk was extremely nice❤️

My family and i stayed here 1 night before continuing on to Cherokee. The hotel was clean and the staff was nice. The beds are very firm, not my preference, but my husband loved it. You get free parking with your stay and your close enough to walk to the stores in Helen. The building is very old so you could hear every step and children running around the rooms upstairs. If they walked/ ran too hard it kinda sounded like the roof was going to come down. When they were running up and down the upstairs balcony at 1am it echoed around our room.
