It was a very comfortable hotel and the staff was amazing. Because I was there for a week while my daughter was in the hospital. They upgraded me to a suite which was really nice.

The only complaint I would have is that when I ordered room service one morning for breakfast, it was delivered in a paper bag, and the food was served in cardboard containers. I was hoping it would be a little cart with a hot breakfast and a nice pot of coffee.

The historic value was wonderful and we really liked the special edition magazine left in the room.

The service areas, front desk, bar, and restaurant have an uncomfortable layout. The high-back egg chairs in the lobby make it even more cramped looking. The bar serving staff was not prepared to wait on people.

Location near Pearl Street and the university was very helpful for us. Room was large and comfortable and quiet. Staff was efficient and friendly. The soaring lobby was cool.

The layout of the hotel was a bit confusing, using the sky bridge and various stairways made it difficult to find the room. I wish there was a proper fitness center on premise. We didn't try the outside gym, but that might have been a good option.
