Days Inn by Wyndham Chowchilla Gateway to Yosemite

Great location. Friendly staff. Parking was easy and right near the room. The room was large. Beds were fine. The A/C worked fine. Good value but be sure you call and check to see if you are really getting a non-smoking ground level room for a disabled person, if you need one. I was told there were no ground floor non-smoking rooms. In fact I’d call to be sure you can get a non-smoking room!

I am disabled and I chose a non-smoking, ground floor disability room when I made the reservation and paid for the room. When we got to the hotel, there was only one room on the ground floor available - we were told there were no ground floor non-smoking rooms. So it was a smoking room and smelled really bad. It was not a disability room and I couldn’t get into the slippery shower. That was a problem. The bedding was clean. We turned the A/C on high, plugged in fans we had brought and aired everything out for an hour before we laid down. It was bearable. The free breakfast was strange. You couldn’t pick what you wanted - very limited items that you point at and they are handed to you…and the boxed cereal was EXTRA! I’d say forget the ‘free’ breakfast and go to a nearby McDonald’s.

Could park right next to the room - easy to transport things from car to room. Clean and quiet.

room was small but clean, staff was friendly and helpful. hotel close to restaurant with good food.

Was little disappointed coffee in room for 2 people only offered 1 regular coffee and 1 decaf... so we had to go to the office to get coffee. Parking spaces too small for anyone not in a compact vehicle.
