The Ritz Carlton, Pentagon City

Solomon was amazing. All the staff really worked hard to make our stay enjoyable.

Amazing and clean!

I stayed here recently for a family wedding, and I loved it. Service -- I believe it was Hannah who checked me in if my memory is correct. She was excellent! The bell and valet staff were also friendly and attentive, helping me get a taxi when my Uber canceled in route, telling me I could wait inside while wearing my evening dress for the wedding shuttle and they would come get me when it arrived, holding the front doors open for us each time, etc. The housekeeping staffer who cleaned by room was the BEST housekeeper I've ever had in many years of travel. (She left a card, but I don't want to use her whole name on here for her security -- initials are GG, in case management wants to recognize her.) She made sure to get a broken hook in the bathroom repaired, organized all my wires with my chargers and computers, hung up my evening dresses for me -- THE BEST. We ordered room service while getting ready with the mother of the groom and that experience was wonderful, too. Location -- attached to a thriving mall with great stores. In a very walkable area. Room -- well appointed, and I love turndown service with the chocolates. Great fluffy Ritz-Carlton bed. I slept well! Bar/restaurant -- we had some late night cocktails there post-wedding and the management let us have our fun as a group without being stodgy. Thank you! I would definitely stay here again if in the area and the price is right again (and the price wasn't that bad for the quality of this hotel, honestly).

We booked a one-night staycation at The Ritz-Carlton, Potomac to celebrate our anniversary, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. When we checked out, I told the staff — this is now my go-to hotel. I've stayed at many 4- and 5-star properties, but time and again, the Ritz delivers the most consistent and memorable experiences. From the moment we arrived, the attention to detail was unmatched. Every staff member used our name and greeted us with genuine warmth and enthusiasm. They made us feel like we were celebrities. Waiting in our room was a chilled bottle of Prosecco, a beautifully arranged cheese platter, and a handwritten note from the staff — thoughtful touches that truly made us feel celebrated. One moment that really stood out: we stepped out briefly and returned to find the turndown service had already been done — drapes closed, soft lighting, and the room perfectly prepared for the evening. It was completely unexpected and incredibly thoughtful. I’ll admit, I was initially unsure about the location being connected to the mall, but it ended up being perfect. It’s convenient, with great shopping and dining options, and D.C. is just across the river. Once you're inside the hotel, you completely forget you're near a mall. The property is elegant, the rooms are spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed. We absolutely loved our stay and are already planning to return for a longer visit. I recently visited the Ritz Carlton Pentagon city for a work event After coming in late on a delayed flight, I felt extremely welcomed by Hanan who was a guest experience associate. Throughout the day, all the employees were always warm and helpful and always remembered me by name, which was a great touch. I also want to recognize Khan who also made a memorable experience. They were also just small touches like water bottles always available near the front desk great housekeeping, and good food options. I will definitely return to this hotel instead of my usual Marriott Gateway nearby.

Amazing stay

I liked the location, the comfort of the bed, and the helpfulness of the staff in assisting with the luggage.

What I didn’t like about the place was the very small room size, the old condition of the hotel, and the lack of a swimming pool. Another issue was the lack of clarity regarding the breakfast order limit. Although breakfast was included in the room rate, I was surprised at checkout to learn there was a $75 cap on breakfast orders — this was never mentioned during booking or by the staff until checkout. I would like to thank Hanan and Engy for their understanding and resolving the issue.
