Econo Lodge Mechanicsburg - Harrisburg West

This was a 50 dollar hotel a night at best. Do not spend more than that. It's barely passable as a place to stay.

The pictures on the site are much nicer than the actual hotel. Was to include breakfast, which it did not. Had to keep getting our key restarted even though it wasn’t on any electronic devices. No TV at first because it needed a part. Asked for additional towel, gave one but stated they only have enough for the rooms, yet people at the pool had those towels. People outside the rooms grilling and talking loud with music well past midnight. Asked for a job smoking room, yet the people next to us smoked outside like chain smokers. Bathroom was dirty. For the price paid, I was extremely disappointment. More like a half way house than a hotel.

Adjacent to main highway, awkward to get to, not very clean, a bit unorganized (at check in, 1st room given was occupied, 2nd was open, no sheets and toilet seat broken. Fridge was not very cold, tv changer worked when it wanted to.

finding the place to start was a challenge as road is no longer connected to main highway. carpet was very old and stained and uncleanable. TV did not work. phone did not work. shower was 2nd worst ever used next to Tiawna, Mexico.. Air conditioner came on and off periodically all night.

Nothing to like.

They did not honor a confirmed reservation that was made weeks before the visit. I received a phone call the day of the visit after I had traveled almost 300 miles to arrive in town. I was told they did not have a room for me. They stated they had only one room left and they were saving that for someone else. The manager was rude and blamed the problem on Expedia. This made no sense since the reservation was made through Booking.com. After a rude hostile conversation the manager hung up abruptly on the call. Since there was an important event in progress most other hotels were booked. I ended finding another hotel but had to pay twice the price due to the last minute reservation.

Check in was fine, until we got to the room and the cards didnt work, got new cards from front desk opened door, supposed to be no smoking room, smelled smoke immediately when you entered. Went to front desk to ask for diffrent room, non available. Had to reserve room at wyndom, way better. Econo lodge seemed kinda ghetto.

Nothing special in the hotel, very dirty, toilets ,beds sheets , floor so many whatever avilable. I came from colorado, never ever have seen such a terrible hotel. Stain on blankets, smells smokes so much My kids started vomiting and i just left the room and book another locations in comfort. Wast of money. It was just a remarkable terrible night in eno lodge. They said , it is no smoking , but terrible smoke smells in and outside . Ac is worst , make so much noise, old building No safty for kids, they have doors inside to other room, can easily get in to other rooms ,, danger : i booked 3 rooms for single family , but room were far apart have to walk 10 mins to arrive to next family rooms. And No door locks/ seals. It is a old motel not a lodge. No things matched as it is described / shown in pictures. It is a terroble place .

The front desk attendant was nice, but we booked a 2 queen room non-smoking. It was a double and definitely smoking, the smell was terrible. We took one step into the room and saw the one bed, smell, and noticed how dirty the carpet was and decided it was not acceptable to stay. Went back to the front desk and advised we were cancelling as the room was not what was requested.

I did not end up staying there. I feared for my health and safety. It was filthy, there were people living in neighboring rooms. The first key I was given opened a room that had not been cleaned or beds made. The second key opened a room that was filthy, unclean sheets under a made up bed.
