Lake Pointe Inn

I have traveled around the world and stayed in many hotels. This hotel and its service are now one of my favorites, and I will stay again!

This was my 2nd summertime visit and it did not disappoint. I was hoping for a respite from the city heat and congestion....mission accomplished. The cool, the quiet, the incredibly friendly people (both staff and other guests; it's the "Cheers" spot of bnb's), the delicious food...and of course the comfortable, beautiful room....total mental reset. This year I also ventured out to a nearby State Park (there are several; take your pick) for a mellow little hike. There is plenty to do, and doing what I wanted was the best restorer.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious! Several selections from a menu were offered. A featured fresh baked good and fruit were your starter every morning. A complimentary boat ride, weather permitting, is lovely and adds to the value. Additionally, there is a wine down hour with an appetizer is offered daily. We had beautiful weather, and we shared our wine with other guests on the porch overlooking the lake. Highly recommended to stay here!

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary in the Samuel Leff room, which the website states "has the best view of the lake." I'd have to agree with this statement as the view from our bedroom window had a full view of the lake, which was beautiful to wake up to. The check-in process was smooth, and we were given a quick "lay of the land" and instructions on breakfast times, shown the fresh baked goodies that are available pretty much whenever you want them, wine and snacks that were served around 5 pm, and how to sign up for the morning pontoon ride around the lake. The bed was very comfortable, there was a sitting area with two chairs and the smart tv that we were able to mirror our phone to, and the bathroom had great little amenities like make up remover wipes, comfortable bath robes, and a twistie towel for your freshly washed hair! Scott and the crew were great during breakfast service, very attentive and personable. I had put down I was gluten free (by choice, not medical) on my preferences when we booked the room, and they apologized on our second morning when they realized they had forgotten to give me the gluten free option on our first morning. The breakfast selections offered a wide variety of options, and the view from the patio in the morning overlooking the lake was a wonderful backdrop for a meal. In conclusion, Lake Pointe Inn was a warm, welcoming retreat for our anniversary, and I would encourage others to stay here. We are already looking into booking a winter stay at the Inn!

My husband and I love Deep Creek and decided to give this Inn a spin for one night. As another reviewer noted, it's a little awkward finding the person to check in. I ended up standing in the foyer and calling on the phone. He was back in the kitchen baking delectable chocolate chip cookies which he handed me warm on a plate. :) We chose the Vagabond room as it had two queen beds. Huge room and large bathroom. However, the bathroom only had a small sink with very limited space to place things. We ended up moving a small table from the room into the bathroom to give us some table space. Towels in the bathroom were not soft and fluffy, more like carpets. Wonderful fire pit area and we had a delightful fire and conversation with other guests who were roasting the home-made marshmallows that were provided in the well-stocked snack and beverage room. There's also a wine closet/gift shop. Beds are super comfy! At 6:15 a.m. in the morning, we could hear all the clanking and chatter in the kitchen loud and clear. If you are a very sound sleeper, this may not be a problem. Breakfast was wonderful - with sour dough toast that was AMAZING! Standard choices - I was wishing for an acai bowl or something like that but no. It would be nice if more of the tables were shaded in the morning. We had a fabulous one hour boat ride on the lake - super convenient - right from the dock of the Inn. I think that this is the main selling point of the Inn. I tried swimming from the dock but there was lots of long grass growing in the water so it wasn't that fun but the water felt good. On the menu it states that guests can request some sour dough starter when they depart so I did and was given a generous amount! I am now a sour dough addict thanks to that starter! All of the staff that we interacted with were super nice and down to earth friendly people.

A jewel on the lake! This luxurious yet cozy retreat has everything to keep you comfortable away from home-they have focused on attention to detail in outfitting the rooms, which are beautiful with high quality linens. The breakfast menu was amazing, the garden and views were awesome and they have paddle boards and kayaks to use, in addition to a guided boat tour on the lake! Can’t wait to return!
