Breakfast area very well maintained. Staff was very customer-oriented and pleasant. Very little variety in food options. Loved having easy access to front and back parking lots.

Probably what you don’t like. The taxes are outrageous. Room rates would be affordable if the taxes were added in.

The location

The air conditioning barely worked, the bed was extremely uncomfortable and the room had an awful smell. Due to the hotel being full I was u able to change rooms.

The breakfast was decent - nothing fancy, but there was a wide selection: sausage, scrambled eggs, three kinds of juice, bagels, muffins, cinnamon toast. The room was large and the bed was king size - more than enough for me. The TV is a decent size. The shower was hot when I needed it to be. I liked the shampoo, conditioner and body wash being available right on the wall in big containers with unique scents. The hotel is in a shopping plaza, so there are three-four fast food places within walking distance (Shake Shack, Raising Canes, Hooters, and a taco place); there's a Macys and other mall stores I didn't go to, and there are plenty of other shopping areas nearby. It's right on a major thoroughfare (Rte 250) so there's a straight shot into the city.

I stayed here (in the same room) in July and in the middle of the night - both times - a noise woke me up. Some kind of truck was driving around the mall parking lot for 30 minutes to an hour making a ton of noise. Someone suggested it was a cleaning truck for the parking lot, but it was LOUD at 2am. I heard it Friday, but I didn't hear it Saturday, but I know I heard it one night in July as well. The room has been patched up in several places; it's easy to see patches in the stucco walls and areas repainted in the bathroom. The armchair in the room has what looks like a faded coffee stain on one of the arms; not very appealing. The TV is not easy to use; you can't type in channel numbers, you have to manually go up or down between them (it has a Netflix option, so maybe no one watches regular cable anymore). (Last visit I couldn't even FIND the remote.) The shower curtain wouldn't stay closed all the way at the "head" of the shower, so water got out on the floor - not a lot, but it was annoying that it wouldn't stay closed. I was given three bath towels that weren't very big - no washcloths, no hand towels. That seemed odd. The towels were not of great quality. In July (I think) there was a vending machine on my floor; there isn't now. I was feeling under the weather and asked if they had ibuprofen or anything; they didn't. The wifi is unsecured, which seems cheap (and unsafe for visitors).
