DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Modesto

My room did not have amenities such as shampoo, body wash and lotion, containers were empty. Desk said they would correct but did not. Bathtub water would not go down, desk said they'd correct. Valet parking people were truly amazing, staff was 100%. With those small issues, I'd stay again.

From check-in to check-out, the front desk team at DoubleTree Modesto made this more than just a stay—it felt like a pause in the storm. Chris, Johannes, and the rest of the staff were not only professional and attentive, but genuinely warm and supportive. The room was clean and peaceful. Every detail—from the welcome cookie to the helpful guidance—contributed to a restful, affirming experience. You don’t always expect a sense of human care in a large hotel chain, but here? This was my second stay with DoubleTree in Modesto. My room was awesome!! Clean & beautifully decorated! And everyone was super friendly!

The rooms don’t look like the picture they are outdated I feel robbed

We came up to Modesto just for the night as we needed to be in town early the next morning. So we really didn’t make great use of the hotel other than to sleep. Everything was fine except I found the bed sheets to be very stiff and rough, rather than the soft sheets I’m used to in a Hilton bed. Too much bleach or starch or something.

Customer service was excellent from check in to check out. Security presence made me feel safe as a guest and hotel was spotless

Convenient

Property was nice. The only problem was it was near train station and you could hear freight trains at night in room
