Carinya Cottage

Very well stocked. Cosy. Located close to everything. BBQ area was lovely. The garden is beautiful. Bed comfortable and some wood was left for the fire. A lovely cottage. We would stay again.

Only little things. A couple of things weren't topped up/checked. 2 of the 4 BBQ burners worked. Air freshener empty.

Very cosy. Short drive from town and amenities. Appreciated the fireplace (would have been good to have more/adequate firewood and kindling). Loved how thoughtful the owners were to have turned the heater on such that we were quickly warmed up once we entered. The beds had electric blankets to help keep us warm too!

A little too dark - could do with more lighting. There were many ants that were quick to move in on our food (even while we were still eating!). Kitchen was well-stocked.

Really well equipped, convenient location and a lot of character. Spacious and cosy. Great WiFi. Good kitchen facilities

It wasn’t a problem during our stay but there’s no aircon. Might be an issue in summer heat. There are good fans provided though.

About 25 mins walk from town centre

The house is gorgeous and location is perfect. It was our second stay. We were one of the first 6 years ago. I left only good comments in guest book on site but please read it.

No coffee or uht milk. Some left over tea from previous guests. Both my mother and I noticed neither of the beds linen had been washed since previous occupant or more. I thought it myself then she said the same about her bed. They didn't look or feel like they had been washed in a while. You can tell. There was tea and wasabi left by previous tenants (and salt and pepper and sweatener) but we really needed just a tiny uht milk and coffee. Read the guest book and you will see similar comments. It was a 30 degree day and there's no air-conditioning (understandable-old house) but a pedestal fan would have been appreciated. Only fan is in dining area. We bought a fan and coffee and milk to survive the weekend after first uncomfortable night, but first night we sweated it out. So I really hope they got round to washing the sheets this time. It's the only place I've stayed at (out of over 200) that didn't have hot drink provisions and the wasabi has been there 6 years.... (I've stayed before).
