Rooms were a bit old fashioned

The food at both dinner and breakfast was outstanding, very delicious and varied and the staff were attentive and friendly. The place has a great atmosphere and the music playlists were so well curated. A small issue with our accommodation upon arrival was sorted swiftly and effectively by the manager who also gave us compensatory drinks with our dinner, which was very nice.

Very clean, lots of drying space for our wet walking clothes. Friendly staff. Quiet overnight. Handy location.

Location, character, the shower was amazing, food in the restaurant was spot on. The staff were brilliant too.

I thought I was tired after day 1 of the west highland way, but I wasn’t as tired as this room. The overwhelming smell of damp that was present in the room. The mould on the ceiling in the room. Basically smelt like everyone had dried their socks. in there for a month. We were there one night, but if we were there longer would have taken issue. It just wasn’t worth complaining about. We made the best of a bad job. The bathroom ceiling was covered in mould and peeling. No extractor fan.
