We had a wonderful time in Albany. We booked a 5 night stay at the Golf and Beach Retreat. The weather was not in our favour for a few days but that didn't deter us from getting out and about. We were well equipped for it! We enjoyed some lovely food and took in many of the sights that Albany is famous for. The Whaling Station is a must! Our accommodation was good, although a little dated but it suited our needs. Be mindful that if you use a mobility aid you may have issues getting through the narrow sliding door ... our daughter's wheelchair just fit through. The house was clean and well presented. The location is excellent! My son and I went for daily walks to get coffee at Emu Point Cafe. If you're an avid golf player, you can walk to Albany Golf Club and if you enjoy a beer Dune Beer Co. is also within walking distance.

The price was too dear for what was presented

The location is as per the property name a ‘beach and golf retreat’. While we didn’t play any golf the beach was picturesque particularly at dusk. The lounge area was comfortable and having two bathrooms was great. We really liked that a good coffee machine was provided.

The bunk bed in one of the bedrooms was very squeaky and the screen doors at the rear of the property needed maintenance. The layout of the kitchen is also a bit clunky but there’s not much that can be done about the design.

Location is beyond value , a 5 min walk and you are at one of the beautiful beaches of Albany that tends to extend to Middleton beach shore. It's more of an Airbnb home where you can cook your own meals and all the utensils are available... A family of 8 can stay since it has got three bedrooms with a bunk bed in one of the rooms... Spacious Hall with attached dining area and Netflix/Amazon prime as perks... A Stationary Barbecue is in the backyard of the home of in case you needed them... Since it is an old home , the showers are bit rusty and due to the closeness of shares the bath shower heads seems to be a little corroded , but that it is definitely not a barrier forn you to stay... Access to Albany City centre is just 8 mins and Middleton beach is 5 mins.. The host was very responsive and he got back to me immediately for any questions I had during my stay... Will expect people to book and enjoy their stay...
