Chalet la Griotte

Facilities were fantastic, the room was well cleaned, the staff friendly and helpful and the experience really lovely. A stunningly beautiful location as well.

The host Rita was wonderful and with plenty of helpful suggestions about things to do in the area; the chalet was clean and had everything we wanted

For my purposes and habits, this funky, personable, non-luxurious chalet was perfect. The fully equipped kitchen gave me a chance to cook some meals for myself and avoid expensive restaurants. Rita is upbeat and easy-going. The hiking trails start right behind the chalet and there's a great butcher/boulangerie/grocery store nextdoors.

What's not to like?

The owners, who also personally manage the Chalet, are the most warm and helpful hosts. They were on top of communication, very relaxed as they accommodate everyones needs and manage this place where spaces are to be shared. It was very well kept with shoes left outside, dishes clean and the kitchen space well organised and clean. The shared bath space was clean, well kept and adequate for everyone. The location of the Chalet is perfect, on the Main Street across from the bus station and not far from the main train station.
