The hotel is very well appointed with a lively bar area overlooking the valley snd hills beyond. Dining area well set out and meals were superb. Rooms were clean and warm and staff were all exceptionally attentive and friendly. A great stay

The food in here is for me some of the best ive had. I came at xmas and my recent stay did not disappoint 10/10 Every dish i had was so good, a MUST try The views from the restaurant match the food

The renovation of the property was very tasteful and the balance of modernising whilst keeping the original character was well done

Breakfast and dinner were both superb. Would recommend this hotel to anyone (and already have)!

Wow, what a fantastic place. From the moment you drive up to the front of the hotel, it is breathtaking. The grounds and hotel itself are absolutely stunning, let alone the magnificent view of Derwent water which is right in front of the hotel itself. The staff are exceptional, they are all super friendly and cannot do enough to help you. We travelled with 2 friends and one of our friends had a special birthday and everything I asked for to celebrate was done. The staff at the bar and restaurant are great and we had some of the best wine and cocktails we've had in a long time, all of which were much needed after a day out on a walking challenge.... And the food!! Wow!! The hotel is ideally situated just a short drive from Keswick and is perfectly located for lots of exciting walks. We also went to the spa whilst there and had a treatment and it was great too. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel and cannot wait to return. Just fabulous!
