atlantic home apartment

The apartment is spacious, very clean and the host Guido is a fantastic guy to deal with. I was in touch prior to our arrival, he was always responsive and helpful and helped us arrange a car for the week. If you bring your own car, you will have an underground parking spot. We also appreciated the surprise cake :) The apartment itself is in a residential apartment complex which itself is very quiet. Very closely located to the beach, and a bus stop for a bus to go to Funchal, shops are a bit of a walk away (downhill).

When I booked I didn't realize that the apartment is beside a motorway that gets pretty busy from 6am in the morning, one bedroom and the balcony are facing it. This means it can be pretty noisy and sleeping w open window is impossible if you are noise sensitive. However the bedroom that is facing the motorway has an AC. Some parts of the apartment feel a bit dated (shower head, some furniture), but it is obvious that the apartment is being kept well and updated where possible (very comfy couch and beds)

The apartment is very spacious and clean, with everything you need for a stay, the view of the Atlantic Ocean is phenomenal. The owner of the apartment is very kind, we even received a welcome cake. In any case, for any recommendation

Clean, spacious and nicely decorated apartment with all the facilities you need. Good views over the Atlantic. Bus stop five minutes away takes you to Funchal in 15 minutes. Our hosts Guido and his lovely wife welcomed us with a delicious hand made cake ! Very friendly couple, only too happy to help with anything.

Nothing significant to complain about, the accommodation was great value!

really spacious apartment! The owner gave me a cake upon check in! Will for sure stay here again! 5 mins from bus stop and also its quiet and away from hustle and bustle of Funchal etc but close enough to go there quickly.

Nothing! Perfect stay!

- welcoming owner - 2 separate bathrooms for 2 bedrooms - very convenient - a posibility to see sunrise from the balcony every day, wide view to the ocean - dining/living room with a comfy couch - well equipped kitchen with a washing machine - quite warm inside for a winter month - 7 minutes walk to the beach and promenade, quite steep on the way back though :) - parking space in underground parking

- as mentioned already, busy main road is just 100m away, disturbing view and good sleep in one of the bedrooms, with closed windows it was bearable, just keep in mind - what makes it worse, the main road is visible and hearable but not actually accessible fast, you need to drive quite a few kilometres to reach it, and the building itself is located on a very steep hill, so be brave approaching :) - the second bedroom has no WiFi signal at all that makes it "sleep only" room, repeater of signal would be really good option - kitchen has quite a few inhabitants/insects making it a bit unpleasant to use. I've heard that's a common issue in Madeira but we actually meet them first time being in 4 different apartments before - price/quality equation might be better, during high season it's really a good option due to proximity to the beach, but in winter there are plenty better and cheaper options around

Guido the owner was very friendly, he surprised us with self-made cake ! The apartment itself was perfect for family or group of friends , clean and equipped with everything necessary .
