Quality Inn Marshall near University

Breakfast had a nice variety of choices. The room was comfortable.

I was given a room on the 2nd floor, which would have been fine except there was no elevator, I was expected to take my heavy suitcase {along with a tote bag, purse, bottle of water, and more} up a flight of stairs. I asked at the desk it there was anyone who could help me and was told that there wasn't anyone to help. I told him I didn't have the best balance & was worried that I'd fall backward down the steps. That's when he agreed to help me. I don't understand how a hotel in this day & age could be out of compliance with ADA laws. I did have to navigate going down the stairs alone at check out.

No elevator.

The staff was very friendly. However, the room was very small. The hotel is badly in need of updating. Carpet was very dirty, paint peeling off bathroom wall. Room did not smell great. Definitely NOT worth what we paid for the room.

Front desk staff was on a personal call and I waited 5 minutes for him to finish chatting to check in. Price was very expensive, hotel was dirty and had a horrible smell. Would not stay here again, room was tiny and hotel needs major updates.

Everything was fine, nothing special. I have stayed at nicer places and I have stayed at worse place.

Friendly staff and very clean.

Badly needs an update. At least take the plastic off the lampshades.

Pull out couch/hideaway bed was old/thin and terrible to sleep on! Hotel had a smell to it. Needs a refresh/update!
