"Amazing food and knowledgeable guides"

10.0

The food was amazing! The tour guides were great and very accommodating. I chose this place based off a friend’s recommendation and it did not disappoint. I also like that the rooms were netted in. It can get a bit cold at night, but they provide light and heavy blankets. I would recommend

"Unforgettable experience"

10.0

Our stay at EcoAmazonia lodge was excellent. The accommodation was amazing, cute rooms, daily cleaning and the food was the most delicious we tasted in Peru, everything fresh and handmade, different plate every day. Who could imagine a stay in the Amazon could be so comfortable?? The staff in the lodge were friendly and welcoming. The activities in the rainforest went beyond expectations. The staff has put so much work to create paths in the jungle that look natural and make the activities accessible to everybody. Each activity was a unique experience and the fact that this lodge is the last one deep in the Amazon jungle gives you a chance to be as close as it's safe to the wildlife. The guides were all knowledgeable and friendly. Especially, Urbano, he's a star, he could spot animals from a distance and cared about showing it to each person in the group! Also, smiley Victor and lovely Maria. Thank you all for giving us unforgettable tours and making us feel like home in the jungle! And last but not least, we also enjoyed some relaxed days at the lodge hanging out with Jennifer the monkey!! Don't look further, book this accommodation for your trip in the Amazon jungle, totally recommended!!

"A beautiful, clean lodge with delicious food, screened in rooms and comfortable beds!"

10.0

We enjoyed the beautiful lodge and delicious food. Beds were comfortable and we were grateful that the entire cabin was screened in (vs some lodges that only provide mosquito netting around the beds). This meant we could enjoy the room, take a shower, etc, without fear of becoming a meal for the bugs.

We missed the first night's tour because we weren't aware that tours/times were listed on a white board by the front desk. Also, you can hear everything from the surrounding rooms (I mean everything! Voices, snoring, etc)

"Incredible staff, amazing jungle experience, highly organized company"

9.0

We loved the spacious, clean property full of wildlife. Our day hike with Victor was the highlight of our week; his knowledge and passion for the jungle was captivating. The location of the lodge is extraordinary! Pick up and drop off for our flights was well organized and prompt. Our lodge cabin was spacious, clean and bug free! Although we have some feedback about the tight schedule, we really enjoyed our stay; the staff and guides were incredible, friendly and provide a great jungle experience.

All activities and meals are on strict time schedules and preplanned itineraries. We wanted the opportunity to relax by the river with a book, and swim in the pool; this wasn’t really an option as we were more than encouraged to be offsite on the itinerary from early morning until dinner. We pushed back after completing 5 organized activities. For example, Lost Lake is a 10km jungle hike that begins with breakfast at 5:00am, returning for lunch at 1:30, followed by an afternoon activity (ie. Monkey Island) from 3pm-6pm with dinner at 7pm. For those more interested in wildlife than hiking, there was tons of flora and fauna on site and shorter hiking trails. Re: meals, because breakfast starts at 5am for those doing long treks the buffet doesn’t stay fresh for long given the heat and bugs. Lunch and dinner were great; however if the guest count is low, they serve plated meals (if you are a picky eater, there wasn’t any choice or menu on those days) - but the food was really good! While monkey island is a nice attraction, the hand feeding of the monkeys unfortunately isn’t helping with their rehabilitation to the wild.

"Wonderful experience in the Peruvian Amazon 5*"

10.0

Amazing property in a more remote and less manipulated part of the Peruvian Amazon. The lodge itself is beautifully maintained from the front steps to your own room!

Nothing.

"A great jungle experience, well worth the journey"

8.0

The remote location 4km from the Bolivian border is great for the wildlife. The staff are friendly and attentive and the guides are very knowledgeable.

One of the jungle tours is just too long: 6am to 1.30pm and over 10km distance without food other than snacks scrounged from breakfast is not good enough at this price point. It is also unfortunate that they encourage hand-feeding of the monkeys on their monkey island. This practice should stop.
