Palace Luxury Room

Prime location in the heart of Old Town. Convenient and tucked away. Feels very safe. Room is clean and comfortable. The owner allowed us to store luggage for a few hours in an office nearby, which was nice. Would stay here again.

This beautiful room is located inside the Roman palace walls, so pretty special! In the heart of the old town with the beautiful streets surrounding it, you are just a few minutes walk from all the sights. The room has been furnished and converted with a contemporary style, glass door to the bathroom, lovely lighting, excellent aircon (important in the summer), very secure, comfy bed, mini fridge and large flat screen TV. Very reasonably priced for staying in the heart of a Roman palace! The host provided very good instructions for accessing the key in the key safe on arrival. There is a great restaurant 1 min walk away (called 'Fig') for breakfast in their courtyard. Managed a later checkout of 11am (often 10am in Croatia).

Some of the grouting in the shower was marked and there was no head height holder for the shower head which meant you had to hold the shower head (often the case in Croatia). There is some street noise given the location, but the double glazing reduces that. This isn't a hotel, just a room in a building... so no room service, etc. The building is a bit rustic on the outside, but in a green courtyard with trees etc. The stairs up to the 1st floor room are very narrow and in a spiral which makes it tricky to get a suitcase up there. Not good for those with poor mobility. 2 Flights of stairs in total (no lift). Nowhere to leave luggage after checkout.

The location could not be any better! Right next to D16 coffee and right in the heart of old town. Easy to walk to anything you want. Restaurants all around. Luka was an awesome host and guide. I will definitely stay here again!

Fab location. Luka was terrific helping us with bags & directions. Great size room.

Stairs were narrow & windy. Bathroom door was plate glass & quite scary. We both walked into it at least once. Saw another review said same. (Needs safety film). The shower floor was so slippery we had to put a towel in to stand on.

Amazing location! It is in the heart of everything but still quiet and private. Our host was so friendly and helpful giving us great advice and letting us store our luggage when we checked out. He also organised our transfer from the airport. Everything was excellent!

Stairs slightly challenging but well worth it

Over the course of 2 weeks, we stayed at 6 different properties. Out of all of these stays, this property was the only one that falsely listed multiple amenities. Of all of the misrepresentation, the biggest lie was that they offer parking. They do NOT offer parking! And what is worse, where the host suggested to park does not exist. This resulted in our car being towed which added a ton of stress, time, and FINES to our trip. Expedia should be vetting listings for accuracy and at minimum, if a complaint is reported to Expedia, they should require the host to make their listing accurate. Unfortunately, Expedia did not take responsibility for anything and the host did not either. As of the time of booking falsely listed amenities were: on site parking, continental breakfast, lockers, microwave, concierge services, laundry service, bellhop, tour and ticket assistance. I do not recommend to stay here.
