Anna (front of house)was very aggressive when we had an issue with our room and very unhelpful.One of the rooms we had booked was not as advertised.No water in the fridge and no toiletries-you get the feeling that profit comes well before customer satisfaction.Also there is a lovely dog that walks round the pool-I don’t think he gets walked-unfortunately no one picks up the poo and I think the dog needs to be wormed as it kept rubbing it’s bottom on the ground.

Beautiful suite in a lovely building, very spacious and clean, friendly and welcoming in the heart of Minervino di Lecce, a nice town perfectly situated for a real taste of south east italy.

The website said it had a kettle, being a typical british tourist I was disappointed there wasn't one! A coffee maker was found and used, which was OK but the water does not get as hot as a kettle.

The building is beautiful, and the rooms were huge. our room had a separate sitting room. the village is very sweet with some restaurants and cafes. it’s a 10min drive to the beach. the breakfast was great offering g lots of choice (sweet and savoury). the staff were lovely.

Nothing - my only advice for future visits is that the host recommended a restaurant in the village called origami - this was fully booked for the 3 nights we stayed - so book in advance.

Dimora Duchessina is a totally unique place, quirkily decorated and full of history. We loved our incredibly spacious room, which had a charming living room attached. The village itself is stunning, with a great bar, gelateria, bakery and the super chic Orignano restaurant which is a must! We loved our evening in their beautiful courtyard. The breakfasts at Duchessina was a lovely, mixed up a little each day and lots on offer, including traditional pasticiotto. The staff were super lovely too. I also noticed the garden now has an extended patio by the pool, where you lie on sun loungers on lazy afternoons. We’d love to come back!

Our bathroom was a bit outdated but not a big deal. I think the other room in our category had a more modern bathroom. The pool needed a clean but think this was being done on the day we left!

The property itself is very beautiful and full of antics. It is well maintained. The room is very spacious and nicely decorated.

The breakfast experience was pretty poor and below the expected standard. The breakfast is available from 8 to 10 am. We came at 9. There were many pastries, a few slices of salami, and 1 slice of cheese. My husband asked the waitress if could she bring us a few more slices of cheese and salami and she said: "No, it is finished." and walked away. To be left out of cheese and ham by 9, and not to refill the plates for the rest of the guests is simply unacceptable. In theory, this means that the guests arriving at the end of the breakfast might be left out of breakfast. My husband took this one slice of cheese and a few slices of salami. There was another guest who arrived after us and also asked for salami, since he has seen it on my husband's plate, and received the same answer. He was looking sad at my husband's sandwich during the entire breakfast. The carafe with juice was also empty and there was no refill. There was only water with lemon. If this is the policy, they should warn the guests on their arrival that if they want to have a good breakfast choice, they should come at the opening, and be the one with the "fastest finger". Also, there was no water in the room. No complimentary water, and an empty minibar. It was very late and we were thirsty so we decided to drink tap water but there was not even a glass or a cup in the room. Overall, very nice property with great potential and pretty poor management.

The shower wasn’t warm and didn’t have enough pressure but that’s really a minor
