Blue Marlin Apartments

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment in Budva. It was clean, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The location was perfect,close to the beach and local restaurants, yet still quiet and relaxing. The host was very helpful and friendly, which made our experience even better 🤍

This is not a minor mismatch — it is outright deception and one of the worst accommodation experiences we’ve ever had. We booked the apartment through Booking.com specifically because of the advertised view — sea and mountains. That was the main reason for choosing and paying for this place. Upon arrival, the host told us “let’s check it in person,” and it immediately became clear that there is no view at all. Instead, there is a building just 5 meters in front of the windows, making the apartment dark and completely enclosed. When we raised this issue, the owner casually said the photos are simply old, about 4 years outdated. After that, it turned into a farce. We were shown “other apartments.” The second one also had no view, just another wall. The third one had some view, but it did not match the listing photos at all — it was essentially a completely different apartment. The host claimed he had just acquired it recently, which explained why it was in a very poor condition. Since the view was critical for us, we ended up staying in this run-down apartment. The condition was unacceptable: * almost everything was broken or not functioning properly * doors did not open or close normally * shutters were broken and unusable * bathroom door did not close properly * no basic cleaning supplies or essentials were provided The only items available were soap, a dirty pan, and a single old frying pan. We had to repeatedly ask for basic kitchen items, which were delivered partially and with delays. Cleanliness was shocking. There was heavy dirt under the sofa, and the balcony was also filthy. We requested cleaning — only the area under the sofa was cleaned, while the balcony remained untouched. Additional issues: * parking was listed in the advertisement — it was never provided * internet was advertised — it did not exist at all, despite repeated promises “tomorrow” This is systematic misrepresentation.
