Convenient to airport with shuttle

Had to get up early and at night Noisy. No breakfast since left early.

The staff there were very accommodating when it came to us needing a change of rooms.

There was a very distinct terrible smell on the 2nd floor. It about gagged me several times. The first room that we got, had a leaky toilet from the floor seal. The room also had no cable, so the TV did not work at all. The elevators also had a weird smell inside of them. Second room we got was a little bit better. The battery was low in the thermostat. There was also a stain on the bed as well that looked like either chocolate or something else more disgusting.

There should have been more front desk staff with all the visitors for the fifa

We had a large group staying at this property and rented two rooms. The FIFA Soccer Championship was in town, and finding affordable rooms was difficult, which led us to this property. Overall, it wasn't bad, but there is lots of room for improvement. It appeared that the hotel had been undergoing sluggish renovations for quite sometime and they remained incomplete. For the size of the hotel, it only had a single, small and slow elevator which really showed the age of the facility. The lobby was in decent shape however the 24 hour coffee was a myth. Either it was empty or cold about 75% of the time. We were on the 4th floor, the hallway had a pungent odor, was dirty and looked like the contractors got done with a job and just left well enough alone. Fortunately, our rooms were clean and didn't smell. Lots of little things like peeling paint, cracked wallplates, mismatched furniture (which really needed replaced or well-cleaned), missing drain stoppers were a few things that could be easily corrected to improve the atmosphere. The paint was peeling off the ceiling in both rooms in spots. Not bad, but again, little things that make a difference. I call it a touch of passive neglect. "It's good enough" but that doesn't make it good... although it could be. Staff, while not impolite, were also not really motivated to go above and beyond. They got the job done some of the time, passed the buck other times ("not my job"); weren't rude, but weren't pleasant either and were slow and understaffed for the occupancy that they had. In the future, I'd probably look elsewhere, but I'd stay here again if the price was right and I couldn't find something better. Just like the staff, though, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.
