Fællesområderne - køkkenet- var ikke ryddet op da vi ankom. Kaffen er meget meget trist, det ville være god at tilbyde kaffe som er lige kvalitativ som bygningerne er.

Sehr schönes, geschmackvoll restauriertes historisches Hotel. Perfekt gelegen für die Bahnfahrt Bergen Oslo. Bequeme Betten. Sehr schönes Bad.

Der Zimmerservice wurde vergessen.

It is a beautiful and historic hotel!

Our room was, compared to all other rooms on the floor, of a good size; bathroom too; we had a separate sofa bed and a large enough bed and we were on the 6th floor, in the new bit, and it was very quiet. Dinner and drinks in the Amundsen Bar were also good.

So... - the staff is so so helpful (basically had to urge the reception to bring our luggage up; problems with getting back to us via email and a general non-chalance); - the breakfast is... of mediocre quality at best; and hit 10am they remove everything very swiftly; but mostly it's also small given the size of the hotel and it's a bit of a battle to get something - the location is ok; it was convenient because we arrived by train, but also meant it was always a walk into town; given the location, however, there is no parking either but a weird 30% discount with a garage "close by"; - I think for the smaller rooms it's very limited, barely any space and this is not my experience, we talked to other guests who showed us but to be transparent this didn't apply to us - pricing is varied... we had 3 different rates for the same room and with difference not comprehensible to us; I recommend booking via booking.com, since this was our best rate, even if it was flexible

The hotel was really nice and the staff were vey helpful

The day we checked in there were two weddings at the hotel and our initial room was just above one of the weddings and our room was like being in a disco . We complained about this and we were moved to an alternative room unfortunately this was near the other wedding and although not as loud was still loud and went on until 2.00 am which was not good for us as we had to get up for the early ferry. Also the following day we went for breakfast at 9.30 and at that time there was virtually no hot food left and only a limited amount of cold buffet

Super friendly and helpful staff, great location, beautiful classic interior and amazing breakfast buffet.

Some parts of the hotel could use a refresher. The carpets especially are dated and worn. Replacing the coffee machines with ones that use fresh beans would be a welcome upgrade.

Frokosten var veldig god! Gode senger. Fantastisk beliggenhet og miljø. Stilig interiør. Hyggelig personale spesielt i resepsjonen.

Et lite minus på at det ikke var nal på badet så etter dusjing var hele badegulvet våt lenge. Fant heller ikke stikkontakt på badet og fikk ikke tv:n til å fungere.
