This review is specifically for the rooftop bar/restaurant as we didn’t stay at this hotel. Outstanding dinner experience. Fresh, excellent food and a great atmosphere with amazing live music. Our server, Chiara, provided fantastic service. She was attentive, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. Highly recommend the brussel sprouts. Reservations are a smart move as the patio gets very busy. We went in early March and I did need a light jacket after sunset. Family friendly - our young child also had a great meal and a great time!

Our stay at the Laylow was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality felt warm, genuine, and effortless, the kind that makes you immediately relax and feel taken care of. The hotel itself is beautifully designed: elegant, comfortable, and thoughtfully curated without feeling pretentious. A special thank-you to Chiara at the Hiseout who truly elevated the experience! Her attention to detail, kindness, and willingness to go above and beyond made the stay memorable. Whether it was helping with recommendations, making sure everything was perfect, or simply greeting us with a smile, they each brought a level of service that felt personal and sincere. The rooms were spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable, and every aspect of the property felt intentional and well maintained. It’s rare to find a place where the atmosphere, service, and people all align so well. If you’re looking for a hotel that combines beautiful surroundings with truly outstanding hospitality, the Laylow Hotel delivers. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it without hesitation.

I usually stay at the Laylow when traveling for business. Rooms are comfy, a short walk from Waikiki Beach. The highlight for me is the Hideout, their rooftop restaurant and music venue. Great service, friendly staff, great lattes, tasty food. Would recommend

This hotel is incredible-I never wanted to leave and I hope to get back there again. The location is ideal-a couple of blocks from Waikiki Beach and steps from great restaurants/shopping. We had a corner room on the 14th floor w mountain and ocean views and a balcony looking at each. The room had a king bed in the middle of the room and 2 twin daybeds on opposite sides that were perfect for our teenagers to have their own zones. There was a small walled off dining area (seats 2-3 comfortably) w a table and a keurig coffee maker. Bathroom was small but adorable w lots of storage-think NYC studio apartment layout. Big closet for suitcases and hanging clothes. We had ukulele lessons and lei making. The pool is nice to cool off-it’s small and gets crowded easily. Complimentary seltzer, cold water and ice all day long on the first floor. Shout outs: Chris-who does every job possible-ukulele, gift shop, shave ice maker, valet, etc.; Cy at front desk-awesome customer service; Lola-at the hideaway and Aki-housekeeping. All just really lovely humans. Every single person that works at this hotel is absolutely lovely. Tips-If you need to rent a car for a day book through Avis at the Sheraton-not the mall-you can drop off after hours. Target is a 5 min walk and has everything.

Had an incredible stay at The Laylow. It was the perfect spot for our family of 5. Walking into that open-air lobby and feeling the island breeze? Total vibe. It just sets the tone for the whole trip. ​The location is unbeatable—central to everything we wanted to do. Tons of great restaurants and shopping just a short walk away, which made getting around with the whole family super easy. ​Kudos to the staff, they were top-notch. From the front desk to the coffee crew in the morning, everyone was super friendly and accommodating to us. The valet team was always prompt and on it, which is huge in Waikiki. ​The amenities were solid—the gym and pool were hits—but the restaurant turning into a lounge at night was a real highlight. Live music, great energy, it was definitely the place to be in the evenings. Also, really appreciated the thoughtful gifts in the room. Nice touch that made us feel welcome. ​Highly recommend to friends and family. We will definitely be back.
