This has been one of my two go-to hotels in Frankfurt for the past 20 years, and I have stayed here many times over the years. One of the reasons I keep coming back is the consistency: I know what to expect, and the hotel generally delivers. A few years ago, the rooms were tastefully renovated, and they still feel modern and well maintained. The beds remain as comfortable as ever. During this stay, I had a Loft Suite, which was exceptionally spacious. The suite featured a comfortable living area, while the large bedroom and fantastic bathroom were located on the second level. Everything was spotlessly clean and equipped with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. I also made use of the gym on the sixth floor, which is well equipped and perfectly suitable for a good workout. The one disappointment, and unfortunately not for the first time, was the bar. One of the reasons I choose a hotel is the ability to unwind with a drink after a long day of work. However, the hotel regularly hosts private events and rents out the entire bar area. This happened again during my stay, meaning hotel guests could not use the bar in the evening and were redirected to the lounge area instead. Personally, I chose to leave the hotel and have a drink elsewhere. I do think this is a weakness. As a guest paying for the full hotel experience, I expect access to the hotel's facilities, especially something as central as the bar. When this happens repeatedly, it does make me question whether hotel guests are being prioritized enough. It's certainly something I will take into consideration when deciding where to stay on my next visit to Frankfurt. That said, the staff were, as always, friendly, welcoming, and professional. Overall, this remains a very good hotel and one that I have trusted for many years, but I do hope management reconsiders its approach to private events that impact the guest experience.
