Good location good view

The fact that I wasn’t able to stay here, it was a relief seeing the place close up

Wasting an hour of my life trying to check in then gain access to the property using a code that I had to call to chase and did not work, a long story short when I did finally gain access to the room I found it full of another victims belongings, presumably not three bears

It offers 24/7 complimentary beverages

The rooms and their balconies were very old. There was a glass door to the bathroom but there were also big spaces around it. And that glass door was very noisy like the glass crashes down every time we open or close the door. The room hasnt been made and they said that we needed to ask for it. We were not informed of it in advance.

I read many mixed reviews about this hotel so I wanted to provide a comprehensive, honest, informative review. This hotel has parking spots right out front that are available for free. In addition, there is plenty of free street parking around the area. It is a 15-20 minute walk from downtown Reykjavik and we easily made the walk several times during our stay. There is an awesome cafe located one block away (Reyjkavik roasters) and a fantastic high end local restaurant (pots and pans) located five minutes away (walking). The rooms are small but comfortable, the mattress is SUPER comfy and the street outside was so quiet during our stay there (we had to keep the windows open at night due to their being no AC) that we had no issues sleeping. The hotel has amazing soundproofing and, as many reviewers mentioned, the doors do not slam so it makes for a very pleasant, uninterrupted sleeping experience. We did not eat at the hotel so I can't comment on the food. The decor is very unique and both the room and bathroom were very clean (hardwood floors). I appreciated the eco-friendly toiletries and that maid service was "on demand" so as not to be wasteful. We drank tap water during our stay and it was very clean and refreshing.

The only downside to this hotel is that the bathroom door does not close all the way (it's more of a glass partition) and the shower "door" is glass which only partially covers the shower so the bathroom can get wet sometimes.

Convenient for runs along the coastline and sight seeing with friends. Liked the coffee in the lobby as well

Die Zimmer sind relativ. klein und lassen sich nicht vollständig abdunkeln, was bei den hellen Nächsten im Sommer unangenehm ist. Das Fenster im Badezimmer sollte sich auch ganz abdunkeln lassen. Die Zimmer werden unter dem Vorwand "Öko" nur auf Verlangen zurecht gemacht. Da wird der Trend "Öko" dazu verwendet, Geld zu sparen.

Excellent stay. It was clean, quiet and the staff were great! Very nice and helpful. Also.. loved the lobby area. Some very cozy seating areas for relaxing

Didn’t like the bathroom door! The lights over the mirror in the bathroom could be better.
