The Coach and Horses

Arrived pretty late for our booking, so phoned ahead to advise, and the staff were very accommodating. Rooms are in a separate building (but only yards away), nice and cosy, well kept, clean - and a comfy bed. Good breakfast selection. For an overnight stay, couldn't ask for more.

The room was unbearably hot - there was a fan in the room but that did not remove the heat sufficiently. Not sure whether this was an issue in this room only or others too. No heating was on in the bedroom or bathroom so strange it was so so hot. If it had been a hot summer day and warm night it would have been intolerable.

Made to feel welcome, everything we needed to know was explained. Our room was clean and very comfortable, we slept well. Breakfast was served in the main pub and there was plenty of choice, food was cooked to order and was fresh and delivered hot. Staff were friendly and overall we had a very enjoyable stay.

Nothing to dislike at all.

The hotel was good

We had to forgo breakfast on the Saturday morning as it didn’t start until after we had to leave to get to Brighton.

Welcoming and helpful staff. Immaculately clean throughout. Large comfortable room. Very quiet although near a main road. Good breakfast and dinner.
