The Hollybush Inn and B&B

Beautiful building

We felt like we were an inconvenience to the people running this inn. No smiles, no engagement, no customer service. The duvet cover looked like it had come straight out of the washing machine (how long would it have taken to run an iron over it?) black mould in the bathroom, pretzel under the dresser from previous occupants. Neither of them could even be bothered to get up in the morning to visit the 'breakfast' room (which was also very poor), if they had we would have given this feedback in person.

Breakfast was appalling, couldn't open kettle to fill with water without a knife, once open it was COVERED in limescale, the lid everything, limescale floating in the little water in the bottom - thankfully it had a filter - BIN IT. One tub of margarine in the fridge for everybody to use - how accommodating. Safest option was boxes of individual cereals or croissants that were double sealed, to make toast you had to get bread out of a loaf bag that everybody else had put their hands in - disgusting, crockery needed a good wash. Bathroom - around the bath was mould and the bath was dirty

Comfy Bed. Friendly staff. Good Value . Ideal location.

Room hot, no fan. Lack of desk in room so nowhere to work or eat. Broken bulb, which I replaced myself.
