Posada Luna

Great location, room was of good quality and value. The staff were really helpful, and the coffee offered in the morning in the garden was a nice touch. An excellent choice in the centre of Playa del Carmen.

This is probably the worst place we stayed in a long time. The room is old and there’s no hot water, but the worst part is that this place is not for someone looking for a place to rest. It’s more for teenagers and young people who are there to party. There was loud music and conversation happening all night until 6am. I got out of the room at 2 am to complain about the noise but it didn’t help much. If you are in El Tunco for surfing and relaxing like we were, this is not the place for you.

Wouldn't recommend. Had to move room for the last night of our stay (after them telling us we didn't need to), found a cockroach in the room, shower water seemed to be mostly seawater (extremely salty?), and the owners argued with us when we asked for a second towel as they expected us to share one towel between two people. It was unfortunately very noisy too so we found it very hard to sleep with traffic on the road and staff hanging out in the kitchen area playing movies on their phone at full volume in the middle of the night. The kitchen was also really dirty so we didn't want to use it to cook anything. Pay a few extra dollars and go to one of the other hostels in El Tunco!

No frills room but nice for the price. Great location and friendly staff. Nice pool. I would stay there again.

Nice small place with little accomodation, rooms were as described, condition of the place were aceptable and with minnor observations like the shower was leaking and air conditioning was weak for the size of the room. I recommend this place.
