had a great weekend with comfortable room, clean & bright, pub & restaurant, with food that was perfect & homely, with portions that were so large i could barely manage a desert, just what you need after a busy day, staff were always there and happy to help, would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys peace & comfort & great food & Company

A lovely retreat of a pub. Rooms are sparkling clean, beautifully decorated and have plenty of room. A slight drawback is a very steep set of stairs although the lovely staff offered to help with luggage. Breakfast offered a good choice and a timing of 0815 - 1030 hrs. Dinner menu is extensive and very reasonably priced; a popular choice for locals. The pub itself is set in the heart of the forest and the laid back attitude of the staff is fitting to the rural ambience. We would stay here again.

Its in the middle of the forest, horses, donkeys are a regular attraction in the carpark. After the last customer has left the premises the silence and darkness is golden. Breakfast and dinner as always impeccable as is the service.

Staff were amazing and so so helpful.
