The New Forest Inn

Wonderful location for a short (2 nights) trip to stunning New Forest area. You can start some of the circular walks right from the Inn. The room is clean and comfortable. The food in the pub is truly delicious, we tried all the vegan options for breakfast and dinner and we recommend. The outside garden is really pretty to sit in, and the wild horses grazing and walking right outside the Inn is certainly an unexpected attraction :) The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Overall we had a very good, relaxing experience. We only stayed one night as visiting family. The location was perfect for us as situated right in the New Forest. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and an information sheet was in the room explaining how they clean it which is important in these pandemic times. The room was a little too small as there was absolutely no room for a chair or two but that was not too much of a problem for us as we were there for only one night. The little UHT milks were out of date and this was quite obvious when we made ourselves a cup of tea but when we mentioned this to a staff member they were very apologetic and quickly gave us a mug of fresh milk instead. Overall we would be happy to stay there again.

Food, staff and ambience excellent. Room very hot at night.

Lovely little place, Slightly dated rooms but clean and tidy. The staff are fantastic and friendly. Good breakfast in the morning and the food during the day was fresh and excellent.

Pub had a lovely ambience to it. Although a little tired and could do with a freshen up. Staff very helpful and friendly. The food was absolutely top drawer. All in all a very nice short break.

Fantastic location in the heart of the New Forest and great, friendly service. Let down by the very tired condition of the room which seemed not to have been updated since our original visit 35 years ago. En-suite bathroom had a lot of mould but the shower was good!

Room was old but clean and tidy and the food in the evenings was excellent. Breakfast was good you could order anything you wanted and as much tea and coffee as you wanted. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again

Great dog friendly place to stay

Beautiful old world Inn, in beautiful countryside. Very cheery helpful staff. Very good food and drink. High speed in house WiFi. The perfect overnight spot for a local wedding. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
