Our room was opposite a building site therefore woken up 8t0 8 .30 every morning along with some festival music that went on day. A light switch hanging off the wall didn’t add much to the ambience either! Towels were hit and miss every day , and no toiletries were in evidence, apparently you had to ask if you wanted anything! Supposed to have 4 star, not in my experience!

Doppelzimmer war diesesmsl sehr sehr klein und es hatte eigenartigen Geruch im Zimmer. Wir waren nur eine Nacht daher war es uns dann eigentlich egal. Bei unserem ersten Besuch war das Zimmer besser. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmte dieses Mal nicht.

We loved that you could take the Tram #1 from the airport and it dropped you a 3-minute walk from the hotel. The breakfast was amazing and so was the pool.

We like to sleep with the windows open but because there was some street noise, we had to close the windows.

I would like to mention that the location of the hotel is excellent, and we very much appreciated the room with its beautiful sea view. I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. The bed linen was stained, there was a thick layer of dust on several surfaces, the toilet had not been properly cleaned, water was leaking from the shower, and there was hair on the floors. As a result, we requested a room change. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the second room was also far below the standard expected from a 5-star hotel.

I was disappointed with the breakfast. The quality and variety of the products did not meet the standards expected from a 5-star hotel. In particular, the absence of egg dishes and hot breakfast options was noticeable. While I understand the impact of the strike, we were not informed either before our arrival or at check-in that the breakfast service would be significantly reduced.

We had a beautiful room with a view of the city. This gave us plently of room for our things and we could relax in the bed and appreciate the view, as our bed faced the window and a small deck. The hotel is centrally located but not in the middle of the tourist throng from cruise ships. We also paid the extra fee to use the spa and really enjoyed having a relaxing time after a day of travel. The staff at the hotel was lovely and did a pretty amazing job keeping the hotel spotless and guests happy even though our stay was during the strike of the primary housekeeping staff! We left Bergen by train and the train station is a short ten minute walk, past a beautiful park, from the the hotel.
